idle problem...sometimes dies

hello. im pretty good with mechanics and engines...although i am no professional....
when i start my car it idles fine... i then drive it down the street and get to the stop sign about 500 feet away and it then idles really low around 400rpms and sometimes dies...then i can start it again and have to rev it keep it from dieing, and drive around for a mile or so and then it sometimes idles fine again or it may idle low and die.....it does this all day... sometimes its fine sometimes it dies????? i love my KA i dont want it to die. someone give me some advice on what i should check...thanks

Do a search. It seems as though there are about 2 posts a week about people with idle problems and nobody feels like searching. There are so many posts about it, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the topic most often talked about on here sometimes.
