So I was dicking around in this parking lot (heard this before?) and slid into a curb at about 15 mph. No visable damage, I looked under the car and all rods and arms don't apear cracked (but then again it's dark out). Now the steering feels loose and wobbles alot when I hit a bump. Also when I make a slow locked turn the wheel doesn't return by itself. Any ideas on what I broke?
P.S. shocks are blown already, replacing them next week

TC bushing?
did you hit the front or rear?
It could really be anything in the suspension from T/C rod to LCA to (unlikely) knuckle to bearings to UCA to rear toe to................ etc etc.
Don't forget to get an alignment, too; you definitely threw that out of whack.

Oh yeh alignments f'ed by I was going to get that with my new coilovers. I hit the front of the car sliding around an island, car got traction and went straight towards a side curb, slammed the brakes (Stupid newbie reaction, I know) and hit the passenger side corner about. My cars open diff so I was fighting that dead wheel as usual

What's a TC rod? Tension rod, tie rod?

Tension control rod I think.

I did something similar back in 2001 carrying about 9 icehouses and 3 absolut and cranberries home with me from a club and deciding I would show off my 5 week old paint job off for some broads outside that club... It took me an alignment and the shaking to not stop to realize that I'd bent my right rear wheel (stock S14 base black steelies) and once I got the 17s the shaking stopped, until I got my springs and shocks, but got it aligned the day after that, so all was cool...

Who the hell is Botch?
I'm hoping this isn't something really expensive since I just blew all my money on Tein HE's like 2 days ago. I think I shouldn't drift unless I have about $300 bucks I can spend on fixing stuff.

botch was a hardcore band from Tacoma, WA. they had a rad song entitled "We are the Romans." For a really good sample of botch music, download their cover of "O Fortuna" (from the opera Carmina Burana) off kazaa or whatever. download the original song too, for comparison. it's wicked-cool, assuming you like metal.

Damn good drummer - could of used a new singer though. Chris Barnes from the band Six Feet Under could put a good edge on that song. Check out Claustrophobic, TNT and Amerika the Brutal.

Any chance it could be something major like the power steering rack?
v. unlikely to be the steering rack; the tie rods will usually go before the rack... keep in mind there are both outer and inner tie rods on each side, it could be one/both of these. Outer tie rod is a sinch to fix, inner's a *little* more work.
Chances you damaged anything expensive... slim, I'd say.

According to my mechanic, all I need is an alignment and the left front tire will need to be replaced soon cause it's scraped up. Pretty damn lucky...this time.
