Answer to title? I really don't think it was installed during the build... Too many hands on the car at one time... Can it be installed through the fork hole on the bell housing?

Nopes, you'd have to drop the tranny off again. How do you know the clip is off? Forgot to put it back on?

Because I distinctly remember not clipping it. I slid the fork on which was clipped to the throw out bearing, but I don't think I clipped anything to the pivot point. Do you think it will snap onto it if that's the case, the first time I engage it? The pivot point is round... Or is this wishful thinking?

I would not try to use hydraulic force to snap the clutch fork onto the pivot ball, it may bind and break something.

Instead, try using your hand. I am not sure that I have ever attempted this, but, If I recall correctly, they snap right on fairly easy. Its getting them off that is the issue.

I'm going to give it a whirl as soon as I get to my shop. I'll let everyone know how it turns out in case someone else does this, lol.

It may be possible... But not for my patience. I'm saying F it. The first time it gives me a problem I'll tend to it, but after hooking up the slave cylinder and bleeding it, it has constant pressure on it. I don't see how it can move... Anybody else not have one installed? I understand its purpose for initial install (aligning the fork to the slave cylinder rod) but it is literally under pressure, even at rest...
