Ive been searching quite a bit, and i havent been able to find, or even hear about the possibility of dual short ram intakes that dont reqire a single intake underneath the nose of the car, and i was wondering if anyone knew, and has a z32 with dual intakes, or is it simply that there isnt enough room in the engine bay that there must be the convergence of the two intake pipes?

No you are not better off doing that ^^^
If you want short ram intake here is the link
Z1 Motorsports Short Ram Dual Intake (http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_7&products_id=5335)
It eliminates the extra piping and saves weight. I am sure the throttle response will pick up and maybe a bit on the butt dyno.

It isn't as simple as just buying that, you'd need to buy a selin dual MAF translator, and another MAF.

Remember, the 1 stock maf meters air for both banks, doing it the " old school: way by just using 1 maf and tuning with an safc is way too inconvenient.

Using the selin, you'll have 1 MAF for each bank, better throttle response, and increased power.

not much to notice on an n/a..but it's something.

On a TT?.......I'll let you find out for yourself(if you own a TT)

^ It talks about that on Z1's page. So it is kind of self explanatory once you look at the item.
