ka wont stay started

hey guys i have a 92 ka dohc. i left for work and it was running fine. i came home and shut her off for about 3 hrs then i went to leave again and it started for a split second and wouldnt stay running. it sort of acts like its running out of fuel but i just filled it up yesterday and i can hear the fuel pump kicking on. also i know it s getting fuel cause i can smell it after several attempts to try and start it. anyways im not sure where to start to look. if any of you guys can help i would greatly appreciate it. i thought it could be the coil so im getting another one tomorrow to try but im not sure where to go if that doesn't fix it....

could it be a clogged fuel filter? it has a z32 one on it but its been on there for almost a year. i have a fpr but i cant tell what the pressure is because it wont stay running long enough for me to check it out.. im just really confused since it ran great a few hrs ago but now wont even stay running.

after trying to start it several time did you check the spark plugs if there wet. possible your engine flooded. check the MAF too. I would start there.

a few things to try.
pull your plugs and see if there wet.
plug a wire into a plug and set it against something metal and have a friend crank it and see how the spark looks and see if its going from the end of the diode to the tip.
My plugs got fouled and would spark super weak to the threads not the tip, swapped them out and it ran great.
Could be a leaky injector seal also, super common.
What dose throttle do? like if you start it and rev it will it rev or bogg?

As soon as I touch the throttle it just dies.

funny thing is that my brothers car is doing the same thing....hopefully you can figure this thing out and its the same issue we are having so we can take care of her!

Nissan have this strange starting problem.. All the ka24de have this starting problem. If you not getting spark then it problably your distributor or coil problem..
