Don't be too happy untill you get the kit! Hopefully it's in stock. What kind of wheels are those? Are you 4 or 5 lug? What are the specs of your wheels?

Angelus

It`s still time enough until the summer. The wheels are Lenso Passion-5 7,5 x 18" and 4-lug. What do you think about it?

kit will be alright...but it'll look like ASS with those wheels...

NiteKids

I think you should invest in a 25mm spacer.

Angelus
01-08-2004, 03:40 PM
@nokeone: That`s your opinion and it`s okay! But love those wheels!!

@nitekids: Yes, you`re right about the spacers! I think at the moment about wide fenders, after the decision I will build my spacers.

NiteKids

Regardless if you buy wide fenders or not I still think you should get a huge wheeladapter. Will look so much nicer and give you more clearnce for brakes and coilovers.

what the hell could you possibly need wide fenders for???

and if you agree with nightkids then you agree with my opinion as well..it's not so much the wheel design as it is the size that will look like ASS with that kit...as i stated...

i actually like those wheels...they're not bad at all...

Angelus

I will build 25mm spacer without the fenders or 40mm spacers with the fenders! I think that should be enough...

By the way: Very nice S14!

@nokeone: I will try to say it in english, but I don`t know the right technical terms. Sorry!

I will go soon for the Z32 TT brakes and then a I have to go for the spacers, if I want or not. Then the tyres will be a little wider then the OEM fenders. That is impossible in Germany, the laws are strict in this point.

That is why Iam interested on the wide fenders...

why would u want wide fenders with 7.5" wide wheels?

youd have to get a billion millimeter spacers for it to even come close to fittung flush against the fenders with those wheels..

c'mon dude, seeing that your in or from Germany, every car enthusiast there is crazy about proper wheel fitment/low offsets/wide low stance, etc....

it should be common knowledge for you already, hahahha:axe:

i know for a fact that in Germany it is against the law to have the tire tread stick out past the fenders, thats one of the reasons in Germany how the stretched tire/widest wheel possible became popular in Germany....

@ Heartwork: That is exactly the point why Iam still not sure about the wide fenders! It`s only an idea...

Wide Fenders are 20mm wider, right? A friend got the same rims on his S13 and the 300ZX TT brakes with 25mm spacers... And his tyres are 15mm wider then the oem fenders!! That means, that I need 30-35 mm spacers if I go for the wide fenders, right?

Why do you think exactly, it would look bad?

i think anywhere near a 40mm spacer is just tooooo big...i would never run a spacer that large...

Because of the performance?

@Nitekids: Yes, i checked your cardomain site! You drive on of the nicest S14`s I have ever found on the web! :)

Here's my suggestion.

With your curret wheels do not buy wide fenders. Buy your kit. Buy 25mm wheel adapters and then your set. Simple.

@Nitekids: Maybe You`re richt! But there would be still the problem with the brakes...

I have to think about that!

nokeone

don't those same wheels come in any different sizes or offsets?

Angelus
01-08-2004, 04:32 PM
No, only in 7 x 17" or 7.5 x 18"...

It was hard to find 18" rims with 4 lug in Germany...

nokeone
01-08-2004, 04:36 PM
that sucks...oh well then..

Heartwork

Work has a facility in Switzerland.....

they'll make 4 lug wheels for your car :D

check with Reiger Tuning in Eggenfelden, they have a good connection with Work Wheels Europe..

seriously, 7.5 is way too skinny on a bulky body kitted car

Why do you know Rieger??

Do you have an idea how expenive Work wheels are? Maybe 4000$ with tyres or so...

With the 25mm spacers, it will clear the brakes.....

Angelus

Yeah, but the tyres would be wider than the fenders...

No matter if someone in Germany drive with rims like that! I drive an japanese car. EVERY tuning part is official illegal in Germany, even an BOV...

I try only to make my car so legal as much as possible, and the cops look on the wheels at first.

Yeah, I know it`s sucks!! And it`s expensive for me... :wtc:
