First and foremost, I searched and could not really find anything that helped me.
I am wondering what exhaust would be best for a stock ka24de. I'm no expert so any advice would help tremendously! I currently have a 3" straight pipe on my sr and eh, dont really care for the sound. I want something that would benefit me in the performance area.. yeah yeah thats what she said.. haha.
Now would a straight pipe be ok in this situation, or like an apexi n1 exhaust? I am planning on slamming this car if I buy it. So I think the straight pipe would work best, but I would like any advice.
thanks
zak

so through all that searching you didn't find anything that told you that a KA and SR engine have the same 'cat-back' exahust?
its personal preference. go to youtube, search again, listen to sounds, and find out what you want.
...seriously, are you going to take advice from some dude here saying "yo, my blitz nur spec is mad JDM tight sound, braawwww".
you have to do this on your own.

haha i was actually gonna say go blitz nur spec. Sounds like sex and the canister is rounded so you have some more room to go lower than say HKS hi power or Apexi. As far as power goes watever you get on a stock KA, your're not going to feel a world of difference IMO

This is all true, i also asked advice as to which type of exhaust would work best with a slammed s13.

ya after 2.5 it doesnt matter for NA motors but doesnt hurt it... straight pipe is always best for performance.
as far as low cars.. for me if i wanted loud and flashy id go with isis dual tip cyz u can go really low. my n1 scrapes cuz im slammed
or if u want to be low profile with performance id go with megan type 2. looks almost like stock but has great sound and performance.

Its not true... I am so sorry but against all logic, I swear to the nissan jesus, a large free flowing exhaust will dramatically reduce low end torque and fuel economy on most naturally aspirated engines. (I said nothing about top end power! )
Let me put it this way, the OEM Exhaust system will support over 250 horsepower on an SR20DET. No reason not to use it on anything naturally aspirated under 4Liters of displacement in a 240sx.

obviously a smaller diamater will be better if you are trying to be a hellaflush fanboy. Less material = less likely to scrape
Whenever you lower a car too much, you will have to customize and make adjustments. Get a welder, because you may have to adjust mounting points, or the direction of your exhaust. Ideally, test fit some exhausts on your car first.
I personally don't have my car slammed, the type of driving I do, I want some suspension travel and no tire (or exhaust rub)

It's all good I'm looking for a bone stock s13 but I can't find one. Gotta start somewhere.
And thank you guys for all your input. I guess it wouldn't really matter what exhaust I want since Im planning on ls1/2 swap in the future.

If you're gonna go LSx swap...dont bother getting an exhaust now since you'll have to redo your exhaust again later down the road.

you sound like a new kid into 240s, want to slam your shit, and get a ls1 and have a loud exhaust, i say just go straight pipe and add pipe resonators.
