Soldered and shrink wrapped. Catalytic light is wired in as the CEL. ABS is wired in as well for those with ABS.
Price is $70 picked up & $75 shipped. Though if you send me your cores (180SX Harness/Pig Tails & USDM Harness) I'll refund $15.

Is there a kouki cluster equivalent to a base model? (no abs, cruise control, etc) I don't need extra lights.

I don't think so as I've had three and they're all the same.
Though you can simply remove the bulb and the light won't come on.

what are the benefits to running this, other than digital odo
DreamN

Looks are the only real benefit. Plus if you decide to run a Dakota Digital Universal Speedometer Signal Interface (SGI-5) you'll have the benefit of a 180 MPH speedo.

So to be clear, someone who is running a standard analog S13 dual cam cluster with an SR20DET/5speed setup could buy your harness then plug a dual cam S13 digital gauge setup without the HUD? (I don't have a HUD dash and don't need it, but the digital gauge cluster setup would be cool).

No. This harness is for anyone who would like to use a Japanese spec 180SX (Kouki/'96-'98) gauge cluster in a USDM 240SX (S13/'89-'94).
You don't need any special modified harness to run the HUD cluster. Simply install the cluster with the correct harness and you're set.

Do you have a picture or can you show me a link of what the 96-98 Kouki 180sx cluster looks like?
I am going to replace my gauge cluster in my 1989 240sx, so I am just learning about the options. Thank you for your help.

Here's a shot of the kouki cluster (random picture I found online). That is most certainly not the harness I am selling though.

They pop up once in awhile. Typically without the harness/pigtails though. Which is where I can be of help.
Depending if I get my new S15 Silvia cluster working, I might consider selling my 180SX one. Just keep an eye out on the for sale section.

Subscribed for sure.
Does this all work with the S13 Fuel sender and S13 coolant temp I assume??
Excellent work sir.
Gave up on my 1st one after finding a Maxima with the same connectors as this cluster uses, but Still had to be wired and made to work with the Above S14 Stuff in a S13 is last I read about the conversion.
I will Def try and grab one of these from you soon enough.
need to Source another cluster though.

Works perfect with our fuel sender. Issue is the fuel gauge needle mechanism is finicky. It can manually be adjusted for the correct position. It's a little to explain, but it's a simple fix. As long the right wires are soldered and soldered well, the cluster should work flawless. S14 Coolant temp sensor and speed sensor is needed though. With the S14 speed sensor you get proper km/h, but I think if you may be able to just use the S13 speed sensor with the Dakota Digital unit and have it read MPH.
Eventually I'll test this out when I have my car back on the road.

i have a base model 91 240sx, and a redtop sr, (no abs or cruise control) all i would need to run the kouki cluster is a speed sensor and coolant temp sensor? (and the km/h would read correct)

So I need to use S14 coolant/speed sensors. Will sound like an idiot though: do they have to be from a SR?

SR or KA makes no difference as long as they're from an S14 (or the original kouki 180sx units).

Simply put it allows for you to change the signal that the speedometer sends to the cluster.
If you retain the stock s13 speed sensor, the cluster reads 3x what it should. With the s14 speed sensor the cluster reads km/h. Utilizing the signal converter it will allow you to adjust the signal so that it will read mph.

If you have cores I can always make more.

Same thing, if you have cores I can make more.
Currently, have not checked if I still have 180SX kouki cores. If I do I'll update the thread.

Hi @DreamN,
I am in Australia and have a Datsun 1600 (P510) which has the analogue Odo cluster retro fitted to the 47 year old car. I have acquired a digital Type-X version which looks awesome.
Are you able to help me out by PMing the wiring diagram/pin layout so that I can adapt the new cluster to my car.
It's not a straight swap, I need to figure out what has been worked to the original S13 cluster and then re-wire for the Type-X by removing the old connectors which are spliced into the cars older wiring.
Thanks

Do you have a core ready to ship?
Hi,
Do you mean me? I won't be able to ship it to and from Australia. All I need is the pin outs for the two types.

I have two available. I understand an s14 speed sensor is needed as well if I am not mistaken which I have as well, available separately.
