Short and simple. Motor purrs like a kitten and has perfect compression. However.....

Here is what I found upon inspecting my motor (while doing timing chain job)

The little arm on the side of the oil squirter broke off, the oil squirter itself is fine and has not been damaged. I have found the broke piece. Cylinders look fine. This only happened on cylinder #2.

Does this arm just hold it in place? or does it perform an actual duty? To me it looks as if it just holds it in place ( has a nipple that goes into a hole)

Should I replace? Where can I find another? and what tool is used to remove it?

I do not think it will effect the function of the squirter as that tab seems to just A. Make sure u have the correct orientation for the squirter when u install it B. To keep it from turning while you torque the banjo down.

The machine shop that had my motor for decking accidentally destroyed all 4 of mine lol, nissan wants like $50 PER squirter...

I have some extras if u need one, shoot me a PM i can sell it to you =D

If its properly torqued, it would not move out of alignment. Since the engine is apart, I would replace it with a new or good used squirter.

If your that far into the engine just replace with a working used one. I have extras if need be.
