just wanna get some feedback on these pads. i ordered some Type HC pads for my next track event. im kinda regretting choosing the Type HC's over the B-FORCE. anyways, let me know if you know something.
it's a street pad, don't expect a lot. it's better than most commonly used street pads because the heat range is higher and it feels better and firm, it's quiet and not dusty. but don't expect a full duty at the tracks. i had project mu titan kai before and those are nice pads.

There's really no reason to run jdm pads.. there are lots of companies here in the US that make AWESOME brake pads.
Some of the best in the business:
CobaltFriction
Hawk
Carbotech
Porterfield
Performance Friction
My favorites are CobaltFriction, and Carbotech. Both mom and pop shops that are VERY willing to help the avid weekend racer/car junkey. Very helpfull with any questions you might have. Just call them and tell them what your doing with your car, and what kind of car it is, and they will recommend appropriate pads that WON'T dissapoint.
i like the porterfield r4s too... but the heat dissipation didn't thrill me. it transferred a lot of heat to my rotors and warped it, it also happened to my friends that runs honda challenge.
the titan kai spreads the heat all through out and is very consistent all the way around. those are the 2 brands i have used other than the normal pads you buy for daily grind.

I think this has a lot to do with other factors in your setup, and how you drive.
When I was in Novice group with stock suspension, and Kumho 712's, the Porterfields worked great for me at several different tracks. Now that I am a much better driver, and I am running Azenis sports with better suspension, I can cook the R4S after about 15-20 min on track. Never had a problem with them warping my rotors though.
Also, I would NEVER expect an actual race car to run r4s. They are street pads, not race pads.. Your friend should have been running R4 or Hawk Blues, or something of that nature.
I will be running Carbotech Panther+ pads next year. I've heard wonderful thing about them from everyone that uses them, and they work awesome on my friends RSX-S.
How much to the Project Mu pads cost?
sentence construction problem....
i mean R4'S not R4-S. i left out the ' on the s.

yea thats what im thinking. my friend has hawk racing pads and they're great. i saw some on ebay for like $60 a set or something like that. i dont care too much for jdm parts, but i just heard MU pads were amazing. sounded like it was better than anything you can get from a mom and pop shop. just wanted to try since my friend was opening a dealer account with them.

I'm running project mu in the front and hawk in the rear... good for street, but I wouldn't recommend for track. Just like everyone said though... depends alot on the way you drive... tires and suspension. The only way to find out is to test them yourself!
