So my windshield wipers don't work. I came to conclusion that my tires were rubbing against the wires that go to the wiper motor. no wires were touching so I cut the wires and rewired it and I don't have any open wires showing. Still they don't work. So I checked the fuse under the dash and it's ok but I replaced it anyways and still doen'st work. Is there another fuse or relay I could have blown? and where is it? I have a 1990 240sx

check for power at the pump, I had a problem like this in 2009. The pump was seized, pull it, take it apart, play with the pieces, clean and lube. put it back together and hopefully like me you fixed your problem.

my 96 s14 has the same problem. I jumped my girlfriends jetta and got on the freeway (it was POURING rain) turned on the wipers and they worked for a good 30 seconds and then at the same time my digital clock in my cluster shut off (only the clock) my deck completely shut down and my wipers stopped in mid wipe and I couldnt see SHIT.
They work but all the stuff randomly turns off every 5 minutes for 10 minutes or so and then randomly comes back on. fuse is fine, grounds have good clean connection, wiring in drivers side wheel well is BARELY rubbing every once in awhile but no wires are frayed or even showing just went through a thin layer of the shit around the wires. Obviously I need to re rout that stuff but I dont think this is causing all 3 of those things to short out at the same time.
Any ideas?

Try trouble shooting, hook a power source up to the wiper motor and see if it works. If it does i would look at replacing the wiper switch

motor works. switch work cause I put mine on my friends car and it worked. I checked the 20a fuse and there was no power so I replaced it with a new one and still no power and the fuse is fine and not blown. So I thought maybe the blue relay behind the fuse panel. I replaced it and still nothing. what else could it be? Could a bad wiper amp cause no power to the wiper fuse?

Bad wiper amp. Go through the FSM and follow the directions to test the unit.

Did you check the green box that controls your wipers?

Check: Fuses, wiper amp, wiper switch, wiper motor. That's pretty much everything that would have to do with wipers. oh and of course, grounds.
