As the title says, i'm interested in trading my 91 civic hatchback for s13 parts, here is the story on the civic:
It has been my project for the last 3 months, and i'm out of time and patience with it,
-1991 civic dx hatchback, frost white, body has 150k miles on it
installed 98 civic dx engine, with 80k miles
-complete mpfi swap done (switched me from 2 injectors to 4, so any engine could now be drop in without much hassle)
-brand new exedy clutch installed, flywheel resurfaced
-Si five speed tranny with short shifter
-Si distributor
-Si gauge cluster
-b16 throttle body
-new starter
-new alternator
-new tires
-new stock suspension with 30k miles
-newer axles (cv joints good) not sure on mileage
-alarm system with remote power locks
-2001 civic seats (not installed yet)
i finished the swap last friday and took the car for a drive, it idles high, which i think is due to some plugs or vacuum lines switched around on the intake manifold, and it needs to be timed, otherwise runs pretty good, and drove fine, until all of the sudden, it would not engage in gear, i honestly have no idea why, and as i've said i've reached my patience limit with this car
so: it still starts and runs good, and transmission shifts and goes into gear fine with no grinds (i can hear it click into all gears when i move the shifter around), perhaps something wrong with the clutch cable or clutch install, the way i see it, you could fix the clutch problem, and have a dependable beater that would last you forever, or you could remove the engine, and sell it for probably around 300-400 bucks, along with sell all the new parts, and buy a b16 or something for it, and you have your fuel setup already complete, which is one of the bigger headaches when swapping into a dx
i have tons of pics of the car, if there is any interest, i can upload some, let me know if you guys have anything you'd like to trade for it, stuff i want for my 240 includes:
suspension stuff
turbo stuff (sr20)
silvia body panels
etc
car is located in IL chicago area
