I'm assuming you have the stock drive shaft? I had really bad shaking from my trans/shifter area and my drive shaft was completely dead. check the joint between the 2 drive shafts, and where it connects to the trans. because they're rubber they aren't very strong.

Yea and it makes big thumping noises too it is even worse when I turn a corner at a stop sign or light.

Thumping noises on a slow corner could be your rear end. Do you know what kind of diff is in the car or maybe it has a LSD...?

the drive shaft will thump any time you're accelerating. check out where the drive shaft parts meet, and where it connects to the trans make sure theres no play or anything. you can see if you have a welded diff that the weld broke and is swimming around, if you do a burnout and both wheels leave marks.

I have this same problem. I normally have to launch @ around 2K. So it might be the drive shaft joint? Also sometimes when I shift between any gears, the car does this thing where it jerks the rear end like 3 times. It's almost like the feeling when you do a bad shift.

It's probably either the drive shaft or some gears in the diff are fucked up. The drive shaft is easy to inspect. Just jack the car up and check where it connects to the trans and where the 2 drive shafts meet. Thats where mine went bad. But you could have to go at 2k because some gear teeth are damaged. But I don't know a whole lot about diffs I haven't taken one apart.

sounds like either your drive shaft has some how come unbalanced or the carrier bearing crapped out on you, i had that problem and it was the carrier bearing

I seem to remember the mechanic who looked at my car talked about a bearing too. Is that the bearing where the 2 drive shaft meet?

yes and it has a rubber casing around it that over time can degrade and tear allowing the driveshaft to shake

That's what happened to me. But i have an Sr with 15psi so it was degrading a bit faster.
