People Use the larger displacement rb30 block in combination with rb25/26 as a cost effective way OF INCREASING DISPLACEMENT ON A RB SERIES ENGINE.

And you have to bribe an aussie to sell you the 30 bottom end. not worth the hassle of this build unless you are going big hp and have $$$.

Bet you didn't know they are non turbo single cam either. Good luck finding a block.

your best bet is to go in skylineaustralia.com they have a full section just for the rb30/25 , rb30/26 !!!
rb30e or rb30et and you put a 25 or 26 head on !!! the rb30/25 is the most commum , its allmost bolt on compare to the 26 witch need to drill/retap the block for bigger head studs !!!
look at that forum you will have all your answers !!!

The RB30 engine was a Sohc Non turbo motor... As stated above the Aussie's rock them alot on that side of the globe... most ppl the use a Rb30 bottom have plans of big power using a 25/26 head... Perfect example google RIPS 240z they are Master of the swap...
It also depends on what you are setting your car up for...
