AC blower motor anyone ever clean it?

Hey guys

I was wondering if anyone ever cleaned their blower motor for their AC and did it help with removing the smell it gets sometimes? The air just does not smell fresh no matter what I do, so I was thinking of cleaning it.

But, was wondering if there were any results with that if it was done. Don't want to do it if it does not do anything obviously.

Cleaning won't help the smell, it's been a few years since I did it but I cleaned it out and the smell was still there, not as bad but still there, I worked for a GM dealer in Norcal, they have this stuff you're supposed to spray in the duct under the hood where your windshield wipers are, it's got a citrus scent that cleans it with enzymes "they say" it worked pretty well, the citrus smell is gone but the stinky air is gone, it's been about three years since I used it and the smell isn't there, can't remember the name of it but if you go to a GM dealer they will know what it is.

I cleaned mine and it made it smell better. Not that it smelled bad before. I took it all apart because my fan wasn't working and I replaced the resistor but that didn't fix it either. My fan and motor was so full of dirt and somehow leaves and half a twix wrapper (I don't eat twix) that it wouldn't spin. I cleaned it all out lubed it up and it works awesome. And don't ask me how all that stuff got in there. I have no idea.

+1, My damn E46 got that stinky mildew smell...spray that shit thru the HVAC intake with the AC blasting and gets rid of it.
