New Year's here and I'm trying to get more into a track friendlier car for me or a SUV DD for the wifey. Up for trade is my 1997 Lexus SC400 black on black just hit 190k miles but runs very good. All gauge needles light up, no bleeding climate control, no cracked door panels, interior in good condition, everything works besides rear trunk shocks. Paint on wing and rear 1/4 has some fade and tint is peeling (seems normal on all CA cars.) Clean title and carfax on hand. If you know SC's then you know the common problems with them and this car has none of them. Also the '97 black on blacks are highly sought after and rare. I avg 23mpg that's mix highway and city.
Mods:
Eibach Pro-Kit Springs
ESM 18x9 wheels
245/40R18 Michelin Alpin All Season Tires with 90% tread left
12mm hub centric spacers up front with extended studs and 25mm hub centric adapters in rear
Borla axle back mufflers
Maintenance done:
Timing belt @ 140k
Rear shocks @140k
Oil changed every 3k miles
Spark Plugs @180k
Car does not leak any fluids and runs very solid
**Edited** I will sell the car for $7200 obo. Not sure how CA works as I am originally from MN and acquired the car while I was inbetween states but this car from previous owner did pass smog right before he sold it to me. I still have smog papers but the car is titled in MN. Vin# JT8CH32Y3V0052660**Edited**

I'm just putting this out there... Getting close to 27 mph on the highway. Less than 1500 miles on the new SR.

The problem is you have a nice sc, but you are asking a price which lots of sc400s with coilovers, full exhausts, and 130k miles go for on clublexus. Your price isn't outrageous, but its close to a thousand bucks above what it will probably sell for.
I hear that the xUZ engines go forever, but 200,000 miles is still risky.
Either way, nice car, and my offer still stands if you feel like throwing a tiny bit of cash on top.

Thanks for the constructive criticism I'll that into account but I guess it really depends on what you are looking for. I've owned many SC's before and it's hard to find a good running '97 black ext with black int. I don't see any sc400s with coilovers, full exhausts, and 130k on Clublexus right now and I go on that forum everyday. Maybe I'm blinded because I love my car too much but to help justify my pricing.
Stock 1997 SC400 black on black - $5500 (That's what I've been offered)
ESM wheels - $800 for my configuration which is 3" lip front and rear
245/40R18's - $350-$400 ($400+ new)
Eibach Springs - $150 ($300 new)
Borla Axle backs - $250-$400 ($700 new)
Spacers - $100 ($120-$150 new)
After all that it depends on if you have to fix any crack door panels, bleeding climate control, burnt needles in gauges and also if the car has been maintained well. I have paper work to show timingbelt and struts.
I like your S13 but suspension mods are more valuable to me as of right now instead of motor mods because I'm a novice at track events and I wont be able to fully use all that power. I would rather have a KA 240 with suspension mods then a fully built sr20. Nice car though thanks.

I've seen multiple, and I mean multiple xUZ motors go EASILY over 250k.
If you think the price is high, you should look at these 240's on this forum going for 3-4k more than what they're really worth....with meggga cheap parts. Now I find that entertaining.:cops:
Bump for an SC owner!
