Hey everyone, I'm selling my 93 s13 sapphire blue coupe. It's an SE, which means it has every option (power windows, cruise, alloys, working HUD, etc), but it does NOT have a sunroof and is a 5-speed. I am the third owner, I purchased the car earlier this year from the second owner, who purchased it with 22k miles in 98 from a dealership. It's been owned in Alabama most of its life, as well as being garage-kept and daily driven. It now shows 177k on the clock, and counting as she's also my daily driver. I get consistent 23mpg around the beautiful, mountainous Birmingham, AL.

This is an extremely rare s13 coupe. Nissan hardly made any sapphire blue coupes, and all were made in 93, and most have different trim options and imo, this is the best trim Nissan made available during that year. Most blue s13s have blue interior, but this has the black/gray interior combo in excellent condition. There are no major stains, tears, rips, scratches, etc. anywhere in the interior, even the seats don't have the typical wear spots. Everything on this car works, including the AC (blows cold!), HUD, lights, drivetrain, etc. The stereo works, but the speakers are original also so they don't sound amazing.

The exterior is in good shape, the only real issues are both front fenders have dents in them, and both rear fenders have a few small dings in them, and the hood has some small dents on the very front. A paintless dent removal business should be able to take the dings out of the fenders. The paint overall is in great shape, a few blemishes on each panel, but no major scratches or marks that stand out. The rear bumper is some slight fading, and the previous owner had the front bumper resprayed, but it doesn't look perfect. There is no rust anywhere on this car that I could find.

The mechanical condition of this car is showroom. No leaks anywhere, the engine runs smoothly, trans shifts smoothly, the maintenance has been regularly kept over the years, and it shows. The previous owner was a man in his 50s who thoroughly enjoyed owning this car.

Lots of recent maintenance has been done to this car, including:

New Nismo engine/trans mounts
New front tie rod ends
Recent alignment
New front & rear brake pads/rotors
New Exedy oem replacement clutch/resurfaced flywheel, tob, amsoil trans fluid
New adjustable rucas (not sure brand, they're red and were adjusted w/ alignment)
Recent oil/filter change
New fuel filter/lines
Tires are decent with 90% tread all around
New water pump and thermostat
New belts
Coolant flush
S13 VLSD

Pros:
Everything works. AC, PS, HUD, lights, stereo, etc
Needs nothing
Very rare color in amazing condition, you won't find another like this ever

Cons:
Stereo speakers leave something to be desired.
Some imperfections on the exterior.
dash has one small imperfection, a crack that was repaired and looks pretty decent, barely noticeable. The rest of the dash looks immaculate.
Original antenna was replaced with aftermarket, but still looks stock.
Windshield has two cracks, both lower and out-of-view of the driver/passenger, windshield is oem with the HUD cover etched into the glass, so I didn't want to replace it with a cheap aftermarket one. Neither one can spread further.

Some days, I wish I could go back in time and have Nissan put together the perfect 240sx chassis. If I did, this car would be it. It has everything I could ever want, and I'm sure someone will come across this and feel the same way.

Which is why my asking price is DROPPED TO $5000. I've left no room for bargaining, bring cash. That's what she's worth to me, if you disagree I'd love for you to keep it private. I'm willing to negotiate some, I don't have to sell her, and regardless I'm sure she'll make the next owner as happy as she's made me. I'm sure I'll probably see at least one "that's mint kouki prices" post, but please realize that there are a lot more mint koukis than mint sapphire blue coupes. This is as close as you'll find, probably ever, or at least until I fix my time travel machine and bring back another.

No trades. PERIOD. Located in Birmingham, AL. Willing to set up car transport at buyer's expense, I can probably recommend a good one. Thanks and enjoy the pics!

I want this to go to someone who will take care of it. That said, I am willing to negotiate on the price some. I also have lots of extras, but I was going to install this on my gold coupe. If it would sweeten the deal, I also have:

Brand new B&M short shifter, still in the box
s14 front seat belts in amazing condition
ARE black mesh wheels with polished lip (16x7), stockish offsets
BBS reps with real bbs center caps, polished with a nice lip, 4-lug, nice offsets, 17x10, 17x9

I'm not saying I'm giving anything away, but of the potential new owner was interested in any upgrades, I'd be willing to work something out.

Being from Alabama, is the $5800 in confederate dollars? J/K, i know you asked people with issues with your price to keep to themselves but i figured id try to help you before the flamers get out.

4 of 9 major body panels are dented!
its interior looks great. Its clean. but i could find the same for less (or piece out the same)

There arent a whole lot of people collecting a 17 year old jap car to keep in storage for prosperity. So being stock doesnt have much going for you. $5800 will get me a s14 with an SR!

Sentimental value is something you cant put a price on so if its important to you, keep it.

Right, but to you "an s14 with an sr" sounds better. To me, it does not. I don't want anything fast that I didn't make that way myself. Imo, nobody can put together anything better than I can, just as most people feel, so personally I wouldn't even spend $5800 for a kouki sr. I'd spend more on a stock, well-maintained car than on one that potentially some fat-fingered nimrod owner had his hands in the engine bay and I could spend the rest of my days tracing stupid mistakes.

But I see dozens of sr cars on the previous classys page every day on this forum.

And never a single sapphire blue s13 coupe.

Just remember, you appreciate the chassis. But some of us actually like the car.

you are totally right. To each his own. I currently drive a yellow car and i always swore i would never drive a yellow car. I made the mistake of taking a test drive and falling in love with the chassis, regardless of color or other issues

Thats one of the nicest coupes ive seen in a long time and im a HUGE coupe fan.

It sounds like you love the car so why dont you keep it? no one will ever love that car as much as you do. Do you really want to see it with racing stripes?

I feel your passion man, good luck with the sale!

free bump for a fellow Alabamian top of the Galleria parking garage I see. Hope you get what you are asking but I also hope that is not a firm price considering the dents and nearly 200K. It is a great chassis for someone wanting to swap to silvia front and drop an SR in though i would offer $3500

Lemme know, I'm motivated this week and I can really work with someone on the extras, but after this week I'm selling all my extra mods separately.

Ok everyone that's telling me its not worth $5k, let's break it down.

Clean, stock s13 coupe that runs well, 5-speed, easily worth $3500 and has no issues barring some exterior defects. Windows work, stereo, ac, heat, everything works.

Add the well-maintained, 3-owner factor and clean history, and you know it hasnt been pillaged by an idiot who removed tons of parts you won't notice til later - $500 imo
Se options, minus the sunroof personally, another $500 imo
Clean interior, working hud, good tires, clean wheels, recent maintenance completed - $500

Then add paint and rare factor. Sure, you could go buy a decent coupe for $3k, get it painted to match, etc but in the end your vin # doesn't match the color which sognificantly lowers the value, and you still have a coupe with an unknown history.

Unless you get really lucky, you will not own a coupe this nice for this amount.

If OP wants to ask $5000, then why hate, he wants it to go to someone who'll cherish it, not turn it into tomorrow's rust bucket beater because he got it for blue book.

If you have no interest in this thread other to comment on the price, then don't comment at all, you're wasting everybody's time.

BTW OP, my brother is deployed until February time-frame, if you'll still have it by then we'll more than likely drive down to get it.

I have time to sit on it, if you want to try to work something out contact me privately and I'll stick it in a garage until he gets back to complete a deal.

Sold. Now you know what a mint sapphire coupe is worth, if we're basing on what someone is willing to pay. Naysayers should consider the fact that a higher-calling value for an s-chassis raises the value for all s-chassis.

the bickering ruined this thread. i;d be willing to pay within a thousand of his asking price considering how clean and the rare oem color. the owners argument is best, and is correct is his assumption that there are buyers out there looking for what he has and appreciate what he has and have the funds to make both the buyer and seller happy. glws
