Im selling this awesome swapped boosted s14 240sx. It has 120k on the clock and around 60k on the engine and trans. Motor is a SR20DET Blacktop S13 using a S13 E5 Computer and wired in with a Wiring Specialties Wiring harness. It has its share of problems that every 240sx has, but ill list the excact ones here in a few. It is a CLEAN title but was lightly rear ended into a pole and repaired somewhat by the previous owner. It has small rust spot on the left wheel well area on the quarter panel. It has a dent on the hood and a dent on the front fender.
Specs on this car:
96 S14 in White on Black
Auto to 5speed Swapped by previous owner.
Has sunroof, no abs(from factory) and has a vlsd (im 90% sure, sometimes the tires will squeal, most of the time it hooks off the bat)
No a/c taken out by the previous owner
SR20DET Swapped with sr 5speed trans from Jdm Engine Zone purchased by me
Wiring Specialties wiring harness purchased by me
CX Racing Intercooler and Piping kit, with a different cold and hot pipe (purchased the wrong kit (S13 sr20) and it didnt fit the s14)
New oem motor mounts
New Mobil 1 5w30 Full Synthetic Oil and Fram Extended Gaurd filter (just changed)
New Transmission Oil (Redline MT-90)
New Diff Oil 75w90 Valvoline
New Coolant (just changed)
New Powersteering fuild (changed 6000 miles ago)
Lots of new vacuum hoses, New Fuel hoses
Cleaned the inside of the intake manifold and intake ports on the head
The car runs off a CA18DET maf because it wont run off a S13 SR20 maf
Custom Catback exhaust, No cat, Vibrant Resonator, Apexi N1 Muffler (3" turboback)
Ebay Dump Pipe and Downpipe
Bung welded on downpipe.
Will come with new oxygen sensor
AEM Wideband and Boost Gauges installed
New oem shift boot installed
New Shift knob (forgot the company name) its black plastic and isnt cold in the winter
NO Thermostat (went through 2 Sentra SE-R ones) needs a oem sr20 one, still after warm up it heats the cabin real nice.
Missing front passenger floor mat
Computer not bolted up to the body, lays on the floor
Xentec HID 5000k System
Some of the T-bolt clamps are Vibrant.
Theres not carpet in the trunk
Battery is relocated to the back
Optima Red Top Battery
Greddy BOV Installed Recently
New NGK BKR7E Spark Plugs installed
Changed the Cam Angle Sensor because of the sputtering problem, problem still exsisted
TURBO HAS BEEN REBUILT! by me, and i put over 500miles on it already. No problems.
The bad:
Sputters after 4psi of boost. I think its a computer failure. There was instances where I got into full boost without sputtering. But thats once in a while. I can get you a computer for 140 bucks.
Driver Door Window Switch is going. It takes 3 up clicks to make the window go back up
Windsheild Wiper Switch only works in Semi Full and Full Swing.
Rear truck wont close down all the way and the truck latch is broken. Cant get into the trunk, unless you crawl through the back seat and push on the latch (ill show you)
Needs Lower Shift boot (you could fell cold air coming through when the windows are down.
No Speed Sensor. (it currently has the sr one which only reads in kph) So the odometer stopped working after 2 weeks of the car on the road because i disconnected the sensor
Reverse lights are not wired up.
Theres rust on the quarter panel, Dent on the front left fender and dent on the hood.
Theres a small leak between the turbo and o2 dump. I think its because of the ebay dump pipe, the flange might be crooked
Sometimes you'll hear the exhaust bang off the body (exhaust is 1.5" away). Also the exhaust scraps bad on speed bumps.
Runs rich in boost
Needs alignment
Needs a fan shroud
ASKING $5,400 OBO I hope to sell this car soon, so i could pick up another daily driver.
Otherwise its a pretty solid daily driver. I put over 4,500 miles on the swap. Gets me to work and back. I get good gas mileage. I just dont want a boosted car as a daily driver anymore. So I just want to move on. Good for anyone that wants a fast car without waiting for all the parts to swap a motor in.
