I'm in between north and south of San Diego, so I guess that puts me in the middle of the city. Hahaha. I used to live in Chula Vista for 11 years, though. That grey or green 240 might be my friend Reggie.

kouki owns j00! hahaha j/k :p
There's a lot of zenki owners in SD, just not many in your area. Actually, there arent many 240 enthusiasts down in the southern half of SD. I'm in Spring Valley, and i know one guy that drives one. He drives a zenki as a matter of fact. But most of the san diego 240 guys/girls that i know are up around the clairmont/mira mesa area.

Mine is chipping paint! Was it factory paint? Dude, just touch it up. Hey Andrew, you wanna swap front ends? I'll throw in the Navan bumper!!! :aw:

I'm not sure who repainted it, but whoever it was forgot to use a flex agent in the paint. So when my car got backed into last year the paint started flaking off and its been flaking off ever since. So the bumper really just needs to be repainted again WITH a flex agent.
Seeing as how cheap the paint is, i'm gueesing it probably was the dealership that cheaped out on a quality paintjob.

It isn't that we aren't friendly...it is just that most of us have owned our cars for years and with everyone buying 240's now, it is hard to tell who the true enthusiasts are and who is jumping on the bandwagon.
Heh, if you were at DD12 you would have seen a few girls that werent just old white ladies...and were kickin some ass on the track. :hsdance:

I've had a couple of people in 240's say what's up. It's pretty cool to see people who appreciate them. I hope you're not saying that you acknowledge another 240 owner who says hi because you don't know if they're enthusiasts or not. I love my 240 but I've noticed that people who have had there's for quite some time think they're special. Your not unique for having a 240, it's no special edition or anything. I say whoever wants one...get one. It makes the aftermarket support better.
S13SilviaGirl
01-19-2004, 11:46 AM
Hahaha, I didn't say I don't say hi to them. I just stated a reason for why most people don't talk to others very much...why they tend to stick in their groups. If they have been hanging around a certain group of people they are comfortable there. They can be themselves and have fun, that is it.
If you want to make more 240 friends all you have to do is start going to events, being friendly and know your car and what YOU want...not what the trend says is cool. 240 owners (especially the long time owners) respect someone that knows his/her car and does what makes them happy...and isn't looking for the communities approval. Get out there, say hi, learn and we will come out of our shell hahaha.... :) it just might take us a while... :tweak: we are all a little wierd!

01-19-2004, 05:03 PM
I have a couple of friends who have 240's. Sure I'd like to meet more people that share the same interest but I just hope no one tries to look down on people that are new to the community. I'm part of a Mustang club (it's my weekend driver) and we tried to guide people in the right direction, even if you bought your mustang yesterday you're still welcome.
I will try to make one of the San Diego meets...it'd be cool to see people with modified 240's...the ones that I usually see are either stock or super riced out.

I am a zenki owner, just moved from Chula Vista after 26years. You would only know my car if you were into 240s for awhile. I have owned it sense 95. It hasn't been driven much lately. But its the Candy Red one...
I try to say what's up to other Nissan drivers but they don't acknowledge me. I think it has to do with my Altima. hahaha
Oh btw, just curious... who here has heard of or worked at NDC?

I dont actually go to SDSU but I do go to the jack in the box right there pretty often, and me and my buddies go to that rubios a lot too, sitting outside is a pretty good place to check out girls, if parking wasnt such a PITA there id say do a meet there sometime.
s15dude
02-01-2004, 11:44 PM
you can park in the parking structure for a $1 per hour i think if you dont have a full semester permit, but yes parking at the jacks and rubios is a pita, we should all meet up on the top level of parking structure 6 or something sometime

Ummm most people on here don't go street driving/drifting/touge...whatever.
It is wayyyy to risky and extremly unsafe. Keep it on the track....thats your best bet.

drifting isnt that much of a risk you just have to be comfortable with your car and afind a place to do it where its not a hotspot , and to answer your ad , my friend is a chick and she likes drifting my car :coold:

Don't get me wrong, I like to drift too, and yes it is dangerous...look at the NUMEROUS posts on here about "I was trying to drift this corner and I hit a pole/parked car/went off the road". What if that 1 time you lost it and hit an innocent car and killed the people in it...
There is also a pic floating around here in the swap meet thread of a car we bought for parts, it used to be nice. Then some kid thought he was a drifter and wrecked it 13 days after he bought it.
Point being, if people continue to "drift" on the streets...it will just draw even more undue attention to the sport and our cars.It will be like the whole import drag scene a few years ago, and still is to this day. People will be stereotyped...and cars will be pulled over unecisarily, hell it already is happening..
Not trying to be a bitch...just not an advocate of street drifting/racing period, as are most of the users on this board...
