I've been riding on blown shocks since I've owned the car, lately, I've been doing some hard time in downtown San Francisco applying for apartments and afraid a wheel or 2 may fly off one of these days, finally came to my senses and decided to start researching what's best and safe for my daily..

I'm aiming to have a grip machine with some decent fitment & some kind of durable cheap flush wheels, wide rubber/sidewall within the 45-55 area and I want to try and keep the wheel gap minimal.

I WAS thinking about cheaping out on some $500 c8 p1 coilovers but I wouldn't want to result in something breaking within a matter of months since this is supposed to be my commuter car.

Now that leaves me with getting some adjustable shocks and struts, but which?
Is it possible to use some drop springs or sleeves with them?
Would I be able to use adjustable rucas to reduce the poke? (Yeah I'm stupid, I do not know jacks shiznit about suspension!

As for brakes, I'm 4 lug and probably going to keep it that way. What 4 lug brake upgrades are there? Brake master cylinder? Any caliper upgrades I can pull from another car at the junk yard?

What other suspension/control components should I look into getting?
Sway bars? Strut connectors? Cage?

Not trying to get all fancy with wheels, I surely will not care for them, just looking for some quality so I can rash them up and not worry about potholes taking my life.. any suggestions?

Please help me out, I'm not really familiar with control performance upgrades.. a long to do list would help and esp some pictures of how my car would sit after all.

Personally, don't cheap out. Get a decent known good quality entry level coilover for about $1k. But if you're just planning on DDing it, and not worried about how low it would be. I'd get some fresh Tokico shocks and tanabe springs (lowest out there).
