S13 gauge cluster

Hi. I have an OBD1 kade on my 92 s13 hatch and my cluster reads everything except the mph gauge, and the mileage. Someone told me to just get a new cluster but that didn't work out. My auto mechanic neighbor told me it was a wire that was not plugged in. any help?

has it ever worked? did you do a swap recently? check to make sure your speed sensor is plugged in. then check behind the glove box on the side were the engine harness connects up to the main harness. if you have no bad connections there then you could have a bad wire somewhere
