so my 95 s14 is leaking fuel, the odd thing is that it only does it after i turn it off, it stops leaking when i turn it on, it leaks for about 10 minutes probably like a 2 ft wide puddle then it stops, even if i just leave the ignition switch on it still leaks, when the tank is about a quarter full, when i came back from iraq before i even turned the ignition switch on i put 4 gallons of fuel using a fuel can and it started leaking right away.

if anybody can help thanks in advance

Could be a number of things, it could just be a fuel pump o ring issue, or one of your lines.. its weird that it only does it when its off. But basically id just start from the basics if i were you

-check the lines
-check for holes
-check the o ring for the fuel pump assembly
-check the filler neck

i had an issue with my s13 sorta did the same thing and what it was was the O ring for the fuel pump assembly.. it didnt fit in right but it only leaked upon engine turn off..

sorry hope that helps a bit

Well right off the bat inspect the immediate area where the leak ic coming from. My issue was when I turned off my ka it would begin to spray fuel out of a crack on the input line of the fuel filter. My guess is that your fuel system is still charged and you engine is no longer using any fuel so the fuel system stay pressurized for a period after shutdown, weakest point= spent fuel, good luck.

Lane1820 good advice!

thanks for the advice guys, i thought the same thing maybe is a fuel line that leaks when pressurized but when i came back from iraq the car was stopped for 7 months than i poured fuel with a gas can without turning the ignition or the car on and it started leaking right away, so i was thinking its probably filler hose but then that would only happen when i pump fuel right, but no it leaks every time i turn it on and off.
