Rear Seat Fastback

I have an s13 fastback. I want to put the rear seat down, but the latch on the driver's side is broken as in the handle came off. I can pull and move the right side, but I have no way of moving the left side. I tried using force, but no luck. Any idea how to move it down without tearing the seat fabrics?

I think his issue is that he cannot remove the top section at this point...

Your best bet might be to try to fish something down into the hole where the remains of the broken handle reside and yank on anything you can grab to get it to release. Unbolting the bottom of it won't help and not much of it is accessible while it's in that position. Hell, I don't think that ripping the carpet off would even do much good.

oh...shit in that case, all i used was either a set of pliers or flathead screwdriver...cant recall now, but yea pry, pull and if all else fails, just rip into it :/
