so it looks as thought the head gasket is going out. i just did a compression check and got 150's across the board except for cyl 2 which got between a 115 and a 120, i tested it like three times just to be sure.dang it. im thinking rebuild time. up untill this morning i was convinced it was just the turbo seals going out. everything i had read further convinced me of this untill my compression check :( i was all set to by the new turbo and everything... well. i guess im going to be dropping some serious money down now. im kind of just ranting and putting my thoughts down in writing and getting opinions on what to do. the actual build will have to wait till the later part of 2012 as i deploy in march. but my plans are running a either a cosworth or tomei HG with arp studs throughout. and since the head is off im going to get it rebuilt. any body recommend a good shop in florida or georgia? im thinking a port and polish, inconel valves, new springs and retainers, cams(kelford), i also want to get the head ceramic coated. danm, this is gonna hurt my wallet...

wow, no thoughts or input... well it turns out its actually the rings in cylinder 2. put a little oil in there and the compression shot up to near 135/140. so i guess im throwing some pistons and rods in the mix.
any thoughts on the supertech pistons???
also im going to rehone the cylinders to accept .020 over. anyone know if this will bump up displacement? this will be my first ever rebuild, so any and all help will be appreciated.

Boring to any larger size will increase your displacement.

im thinking between 400 to 600 hp. i honestly am not looking for insane hp numbers. just a really good reliable high revving very responsive build. lol. any thoughts. i have alot of time to research and stock pile parts as i wont even be able to start tearing down untill oct/nov 2012, so im figuring ill take 4-5 months to build. but im planning on having it on the road in march 2013. really im needing to find good reliable information.
