I have been needing a fuel pump and regulator for the longest time. Right now I'm pushing somewhere in the 250-300hp. I plan to be at 450 soon. Will the walboro 255 cut it at 500hp? And which would be the best pressure regulator? I have been looking at the tomei type l or type s. Which one would be best for me? Thanks for the help!

Raw brokerage sells a complete kit which uses an aeromotive fpr seems like a pretty good deal

Tomei has a calculator on their site. It depends on a few factors really. Injector size, fuel pressure, line size. I have a single wal 255 and with my 850cc injectors and -6an fittings and lines the calculator said to make 450 hp, I'd need something like 364lph.

Okay. Well ill have stock injectors for now. Which are like 380cc?? Not for sure on size. Later I will be going to larger. So ill have the 255lph pump, stock lines for now, with stock injectors.

Tomei, SARD, Aeromotive, etc will all do what you need it too. I was running 400+ crank hp on my SARD and it operated fine, plan on running into the 600's with the new setup on the same regulator...

Could I have too much ever? Like if I went with the type l rated for very high HP.would I be okay?

If the regulator accepts -6 to -8 AN lines you'll have enough flow through it for 700hp+ and you'll never reach that point on a stock or close to stock bottomend. For your goals that's all you'll ever need. Why spend extra cash on something you'll never fully utilize?

a 255 fuel pump should do just fine for that hp unless u are planning e85 and i am running a aeromotive and have no problems with fuel pressure drop.
