Hey guys. Again, its been a while. Just got back from school for the break and I have finished up my T28 swap onto my redtop. Got everything finally done (or so I thought) only to have a significant amount of power loss. Very slow reving in neutral and 1st. Also, I believe the wastegate is stock at around 5 psi but it a tad on the low side at about 4 psi. It sounds like I have an exhaust leak at about the cat btw and when reving it sounds like there is surge coming from the air filter.

Now the car has sat for roughly 1.5 years. I left it with very little gas in the car and today just put in a gallon or so of fresh gas. I also put a new fuel filter on the car. I rechecked all my lines to make sure they were tight. The car itself honestly sounds terrible. Almost like a subaru honestly.

Is it possible that bad gas could cause this situation? I remember back in the day I had a bad cat blockage that caused a similar low boost issue and the surging sounds. Im going to check the exhaust leak but idk, i think there is something else at play.

Checked the ECU too and its Code 21? Could it be that? Thanks in advance

did you checked for vaccum/boost leaks?
did you touch anything else while you did the swap?

i remember one year after my winter build my car ran like shit and sounded like a subaru. turned out 1 coilpack clip wasnt fully clipped in. :picardfp:

just go over everything and press connectors especially if its throwing a code like that

Yeah I replaced the O2 sensor with a new one, new spark plugs. Also had the entire exhaust removed on a side note. I'll check the coilpacks and other connectors.
I double checked to make sure all the lines were tight but no I have not checked for vaccum/boost leaks. I do not have a diy leak checker currently.

Wow thanks a ton ILoveJDM! I checked the coilpack plugs and made sure they were tight. Fixed it! ahaha i feel like an idiot right now. Anywho, Thanks! A
