View Full Version : ka24de won't start. Getting fuel, spark
hey everyone, car refuses to start. Turns over just fine, pulled the plugs to check spark and when i did they smelled of fuel, so it appears i can cross those two off the list. i pulled the IACV and cleaned it thinking it was somehow choking the car but when i replaced it still nothing. Battery is good. Pulled the intake and cleaned the throttle body. running out of ideas. Anyone?

There are many of these threads here with the same issues, all recent as well, check timing, injectors could be dumping too much fuel and choking the engine and wearing out your rings which lower your compression, google, Zilvia search

First check your timing chain to make sure you haven't skipped a linkand also that your timing is correct. Next thing you should do is remove your fuel rail and see if your injector seals are damaged by having someone crank your engine while you look for injectors that have fuel leaking past the seals which may be causing your engine to flood with fuel, give us an update after checking these two things.
Thanks to you both, i will check my timing and injector seals tomorrow and report back.
