sr20 blacktop..my bov is vented to the atmosphere. when i rev then go close throttle, my car dips to about 100-200rpm then picks back up to normal idle..but i never had this problem with my hks ssqv? i've read that the greddy type s are known to do this but i've also seen people successfully have these vented to the atmosphere and not stumble? what gives? i tried adjusting the alan head screw on top and it doesnt make a difference other than how it sounds..

Ssqv is a better bov in that aspect. Tuning can help combat the issue, however there still will be the issue that its venting air too long. The ssqv shuts quicker

updated: so i guess people get around this stumbling by doing whats called a single spring mod which reduces the tension of the diaphram..maybe I'm just trying too much for that cool whistle sound lolz

You only remove that spring if you're recirculating (which you should) the BOV. Otherwise you need that even remotly attempt at having it work at atmospheric dump.

AKA: Recirculate it, be happy.

the type-s is not tight,
so measurements made right,
become obscured from sight.

Recirculate that bypass to appease the kittens

It's the truth. I love the type S, but it's a requirment to recirculate her.
