what do you guys think of them? Thinking about picking one up but need some input.
He is including is intercooler, piping, T28, and bottom mount manifold for around $800
then things i need to get are 370 injectors and my tune in which I was just going to get it flashed. any thing else i am missing or would it be better to piece my own kit together?
this will be my first time turboing anything so any input and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Vince

They suck you should buy this one... http://zilvia.net/f/sale-items/413662-90-complete-ka-t-turbo-kit.html
On a serious note though the manifold usually hold up pretty well as long as there is a flex pipe in the downpipe.

u still need to get oil feed line, oil drain, tap ur pan, upgraded fuel pump would be good, cone filter, i would also recommend boost gauge, LC1 or AEM wideband and a pod for the gauges.

yeah I already have tapped oil pan and forgot to put im probably going to get a warlboro 255. where's a good place to get the oil lines and what gauges exactly should i get?
Also, your input on godspeed stuff?

i hear nothing but good things about walbro and it seems to be everyone's choice.
For oil lines - this are the two places im considering
Z1 KA-T turbo oil feed line kit (http://www.z1motorsports.com/240sx/product_info.php?products_id=4387)
JGS Precision Turbo (http://www.jgsturbo.com/index2.html)
Gauges - I would get a boost and wideband gauge
Does the godspeed kit come with a downpipe?
As for the godspeed stuff that i have. They seem ok, havent really had a chance to test them out.

yeah it comes with a down pipe too... was also considering going with the sidemount vs the front mount.
what do you think of the jwt tunes?
Also, will I need a different maf?

Depends on ur power goals. Idk on JWT tune, i was planning on going with enthaply ecu. Good reviews and its just plug and play.
See this thread on what u need.

Yeah, ive been to that site before looking for 200whp...
and on stock internals.
what are your power goals?
Johnny_K

it was 230 - 250 whp on stock internals with a t25.
but my engine compression #'s were low and off so being that its out im going to rebuild with supertech pistons and new rods.
Enjuku is also having a sale on garrett t28 so i may jump on it and try and go for 300 whp.

Yeah except for the AFC
the AFC should standfor - Anti-engine functioning controller

Not sure if your referring to the SAFC in the for sale post in the link but if you are they work perfect if you know how to tune or take it to someone who can. I DDed a KA-t for 4 years with it until I decided I needed a reason to put the RB25 in and turned the boost up to 15+ psi and didn't mess with the tune.
Walbro is great but I'm becoming a fan of the Aeromotive 340 Stealth for only $70 more than your average Walbro but may be a bit more than needed for your power goals.
If your power goal is only 200hp you won't need a new MAF but that will change I assure you.
JGS for your oil lines, while your there though consider getting their tubo kit.

Like Boostin240sx said and from experiance and hearing things from the actual owner.....Dont use godspeed, the people there are cool, but the products are cheap and suck, its grade C or D stuff.,its not the employees fault here in the US.....theres a very small amount of R & D for their products that they copy in China

Do you guys know of any other good KA-T kits I checked out the JGS ones they look alright.. or should I just piece one together with used parts?
Thats the thing is I can get new godspeed stuff and upgrade from their or just wait on parts to come up.

The set up I finally arrived at before I went RB25 is actually what is in the for sale thread I linked in my first post. It is the JGS kit plus lots of other items, whether you want it new or used I highly recommend the JGS kit.
Trust me from experience, do it right the first time. It will wind up being cheaper in the long run.
