I have a 98 w/ kouki sr and my maf sensor went out so i bought a z32 maf and a pfc and now my car will instantly crank up then die, it literally only runs for about 2 seconds. I checked my cas and coilpacks, i know my pfc is working because it comes on on shows all the sensors readings and everything, i tried putting the stock ecu in and it does the same thing, i'm really not sure where to go from here, any suggestions on things to check etc would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Its been months since i've driven my car and i just wanna :2f2f: again

Is your maf wired correctly? Do you hear the fuel pump prime?

definetly could be fuel related. check your wiring to your fuel pump and relay

I can hear my fuel pump running, but possibly its bad and isnt suplying enough pressure? idk i'll have to check that out. My fuel pump isnt wired to a relay just ignition so maybe the fuel pump trying to force fuel into the car when its not running could have worn it out?

I'm not sure it was like that when I bought the car and the car worked fine for awhile, but when I turn the key to the on position it comes on

I swear I just typed this in recently on a similar thread.if you have a PFC and you bought a z maf, once you wire up the MAF correctly, you have to switch the settings in the PFC to z32 maf, you car will not stay ON if you dont switch the setting(make sure it saves the setting, the z32 maf should be automatically selected if you go back to that menu) or you wired it up wrong, if you want to check you fuel, invest in a FPR so you'll know for later diagnosis if you pump ever went out, you 'll see zero pressure, if your currently broke, just remove the line and turn the key to full pwer(before crank) to see if fuel comes out, or remove fuel rail(with all fuel lines still connected) and crank to see if fuel comes out during the cranking.
