I bought a front clip of a240sx from japan. I got the clip and started the engine while it was in the clip and it ran amazing!. So i swap everything over to my shell and i have no spark or fuel. What could be wrong? All wires seem fine? All fues are good same for relays, is it wiring?

Gotta be wiring man, especially that it ran perfect in the clip

make sure everything is plugged in correctly. Check if fuel lines arent backwards... etc...

Get a wiring diagram for the specific vehicle or since you did a swap, look for a wiring diagram for that. If you know how to read a wiring diagram, then you'll have no problem reading it.

Go to Nicoclub.com. Pretty sure you'll find some wiring diagrams there.

K thanx also could it be my ecu? My engine ground was not on when i frist hooked the battery up and i thought i herd a noise by the ecu. But im not sure but would a fried ecu cause both no spark and no fuel?

I just finished my swap two weeks ago and as dumb as it sounds i didn't have the big plug that is next to the ecu (not the ecu plug) but the one next to it plugged in the whole way. No fuel, no spark. There was actually a thing on the plug that flipped up over the plug to put it in the whole way. Hope that made sense

Check your fuses also double check your grounds, grab a mutlimeter and a wiring diagram and start having 'fun' lol. You can also try checking your fuses. A friend taught me a long time ago.. think simple start with the most basic part of the issue and move from there.

Out of curiosity and when to the ignition into the on 1 position are the accessories and everything lighting up? I had to do a rebuild at one point and had the same symptoms... I checked fuses but not ALL fuses, spent money on things I didn't to... it sucked. So be sure to check alllllll your fuses. Even if it doesn't sound relevant .. check it lol

Yea it madr sense. But is there anyway to test a ecu besides finding 12v in and out?

Thanx but yes all fuses have been checked. And yes i have light windsheild wipers everything. But no spark or fuel!.

If you've checked the fuses I would say next check your grounds. You REALLY needa go buy a multimeter. Doesn't have to be somethin fancy you can pick one up for under $20. Trust me.. you have to have it. As far as checking the ECU, without a scanner or multimeter I don't know. If you have a friend with the same swap plug your ecu up in his car and see if it the motor turns? But to be honest I want to say I highly doubt its the ecu.

Go buy that multimeter! Lol were you able to get the wiring diagram yet? Also need that. Those 2 things are gonna be your best friend through all of this.

Well i think it migjt be the ecu cuz it made a weird noise. But no i uavent found a good diagram yet. Will the digarm tell me what each wire should read? And i have been all over that car looking for grounds. I cant find any.

The diagram will tell you everything you need to know. At this point thats my best suggestion. Getting the FSM for the swap you have and strart tracing your step. If it is a wiring problem (which is what it sounds like imo) thats your best option I think.

You could always check the ecu for burn spots.. but if you don't know what you're doing you can easily ruin it. So don't do that... lol. Don't know what else to tell you other than multimeter and wiring diagram :/

Who did this swap for you? You should probably get them on it..

I had the similar issue but just spark 2 months ago doing my swap and it was ground related, specifically the one that hooks up under the intake manifold to the body. Also make sure the brown plug by the battery tray is all hooked up correctly.

If your IACV is not hooked up and won't be like on my SR, you will have to adjust the idle screw on the throttle body to open up the throttle a little so it can idle, otherwise it will not even start up unless you step on the gas pedal a little.

Focus on the 2 plugs near the battery tray though. Good luck!
