I have a blown capacitor on my ecu, does anyone know where to find this capacitor or know of anyone that can fix it?

Really did you fix it?
Was it causing your car to idle at 4k rpm like mine?
I bought another ecu and its running fine would just like to have another good one

try radio shack if they have one around your area. if you want a spare ecu i just buy one of someone parting out a car on the forum.

If you're not confident with soldering, and decent eltronics guy could hook you up with that.

they have them at frys. i repaired one a few years back
Definitely a diode, and it probably took something else out when it went. Keep in mind diodes have a set polarity.

Yea easy fix, good job tracing it to the ecu, like they said above, just take it to some geek electronic shop and have them remove the old one and solder the new one in,theyd probably charge u $10 bucks ,unless you solder it yourself.they would most likely have the same diode

exactly the diode is there as a fuse to protect anymore harm to the ecu.. what probably happen is that you crossed the battery terminals or tried to jump start the car and put the jumper cables on backwards
