$4 cans of spray paint from Lowe's. It's a 240SX, don't take it too seriously.

We have an entire thread dedicated to engine bays.

Your options are quite varied from spray paint cans on up. It really depends on what you want to spend and how long you want it to look good for. If you like repainting your engine bay every year or two and seeing chips every time you drop a wrench then spray paint is for you. If you want it to last longer, consider Eastwood chassis paint, its durable and comes in any color you want as long as its black, also sold in spray cans. Or, if you feel like going all out, do real automotive paint but be prepared to pay quite a bit to do it right.

Primed with SEM primer, Paint is wk0 (3 stage pearl), using PPG products which i picked up from a local auto autobody supplies shop.

i use the same automotive paint as you would on your exterior. most important is to CLEAN that bay! paint hates oil obviously. i use a good sealer prior to my base coat and an etch primer on any new metal i.e. tubes/tubs/gussets. SEM self etching primer is good, i dont trust anything else. usually i charge $400-$500 for a bay, thats with it brought to my shop stripped. materials are only $150 ish usually so if you do all the work yourself its really not that expensive to have a great looking bay. why not right?
