What does one typically expect to pay to have tubs put in their s14, also anyone know of anybody in the South Florida area good at it?
TIA :bigok:

My I ask why you need tubs.
I have built tubs and its not a small job. Took me a couple days just to get everything cut out then welded back in.
I'm guessing $500 to $800

I dont "need" them its going to be purely cosmetic...i got quoted $600 and wanted to compare and see what others paid if you were to guess 500-800 then $600 isn't bad thanks!

I know it sounds dumb but unlike most of the people on this site I'm not broke, this is a project car that i will spend whatever i want to get to look how i want as I've already spent a hefty amount. I appreciate the input though criticism is always welcome :)

They just bash because they know they can't have it done. Trust me worth it, if you ever decided to have 10" tires in the front and lowered you will have the clearance, and saves you on camber issues like I had.

Wow, you sound like a 12yr old... If someone wants it done I'm sure they can get it done. You act like not everyone can have it, I'll have my cake and eat it too.
However, I do think it's a waste of money to have tubs done if you aren't going to use them for their intentions. I know you didn't say that, but keep in mind you're going to have to reroute wiring and find other homes for items that no longer bolt into the factory places. It's a lot of work for aesthetic purposes...

300 max would be amazing, i thought 600 was kind of costly but its a really good fabricator. I know i have to move around wiring but i thought it all through and I'm going to do a wire tuck and relocate the fuse box into the dash so that shouldn't be an issue.
Thanks for the input guys, and to the haters i don't see what the issue is i just asked how much i should expect to pay not if its stupid, its my money and i think it cleans up the engine bay a lot and thats what i want so once again money is nowhere near an issue here.

So if money is nowhere near the issue why are you asking how much others paid then? honestly if money was not a problem you would pay whatever they told you if quality was great and not ask around..........

because at the same time I'm not going to get ripped off lol, if everyone agrees to $1500 and i get quoted 1200-1800 then fine ill pay it but if most people pay 300 and someone tells me $1000 then I'm not going to get ripped off either. I can see you enjoy postwhoring so its cool but what I'm saying makes sense.

And paying 3500+ for some legit wheels to go on a daily driver sounds retarded and pointless and a waste of money but you probably swing those nuts I bet.
Let the man do what he wants to do. Tubs look very aesthetically pleasing and allow for some fat ass tires and low ass lows.

Sounds about right. I like them. Street driven cars deserve tubs too lol.

Because even people who are in good financial status don't like getting ripped off. Why pay $X amount of money more when you could of saved? Everyone loves saving. It's a good feeling.
I'm in excellent financial status but I still love getting deals, buying used parts from legit sellers that can be trusted, and doing all the research I can about something before buying.
Someone pointed out that alot of things will need to be moved. He's right. Fuse box, power steering fluid reservoir, harness, little things like that. It will add up quick so I do hope that money isnt and issue for you lol

Like posted above its alot of work things need to be moved and and filled. This is what i did on a friends car. $25 for the fender that i cut in 1/2 and probably another $20 other BS. If i was to charge i would say $450 for this with everything moved. Plus i did a front end stitch weld while everything was out.

You pay for what you get when it comes to fabrication work. The last thing you want is to look for a deal, have them installed, and have the end result be ganky or less than what you want.

Future Fabrication here in Phoenix charge 300-400 for tub fabrication, the re-routing and making everything work again is all on you. hope that helps with the question at hand!
a fool and his money are soon parted, no reason to not research market value for something. if you dont YOU are the idiot, not the guy with tubs.

You should just make the tubs yourself, save money for something else that looks good ftw

Don't forget that tubs require you to relocate/reposition a lot of components. The expenses won't stop with the fabricator. As for an hourly rate and an estimate on materials. Then compare that to those you talk with. Tubs are sweet; I love mine.
