this is a good one...there was a petition on line not too long ago that wanted to drop the US limit for grey market cars from 25 to 15 years, and the only reason it didnt go thru to congress was because not enough people signed it...they were only 5,000 short
dont let this one die guys, the 240 can EASILY be made to run on E85...and for those of you who have wanted LEGALIZED SR20's, this may be your only route...GO SIGN!!! IT TAKES 5 MINUTES!!!

How about a change in regulation so that anything that passes the sniffer passes SMOG. Set a reasonable standard for engines other than the OEM engine and if what you have in your car passes this reasonable standard it is legal.

How about you take what they're giving you and sign it since its better than what everyone has to deal with now.

I think that may be part of the reason he posted it in 3 subforums, so people can't say "oh I didn't see it so I made a new one in this other section"

I think it is a bad compromise. E85 isn't so clean as to be nonpolluting and OEM E85 cars aren't smog exempt.
What I proposed would allow you to turbo a KA, swap to an SR, or drop in an LS7. As long as what you build passes the "other than oem engine/configuration" standard all engines would be fair game.
