People are going to light you up for not searching but I'll give you a hand. A few things are check the title of course, check the frame rails(make sure they aren't all beat up and bashed in), I have experienced rust around the quarter panels and the underbody near the back seat floor board.
If you can, have someone who is familiar with these cars go with you and do a once over. Carfax is your friend and look for signs of replaced panels suck as differences in paint shades, new bolts on fenders and such, tap quarter panels to listen for sound differences(body repair such as bondo has a deadened sound when tapped). Just the basics. Of course people can replace panels and what not but just something to think about.
Good luck and welcome,
Andrew

Why do you want to downgrade? I have an E36 and an S13 and I would much rather drift the E36. haha.

Honestly it's not that I'm into drifting. I've owned only BMW for like 7 years and I just want a change and the s14 chassis is such a great design. It's funny you say downgrade but seems like no one wants to trade their s14 for my BMW e36
