Ok, so I usually don't like asking for help on these types of issues. I love the process of diagnosing problems, but I can't figure out what this problem is for the life of me.
The car runs fine 99% of the time, but I'm having a ghost issue.
The car cuts out randomly. I haven't been able to link it to anything (load, fuel level, etc.)
It basically loses all power for a split second. Sometimes the car dies, sometimes it's not long enough for the car to die.
I still have full power in the car (gauges and everything).
Sometimes if I blip the throttle, it fixes "it". Sometimes it doesn't.
Nothing shows up on ECUtalk via Consult cable. No codes. No murmurs in the readings. Nothing.
I'm at a loss. One thing I've noticed is that sometimes when it cuts out, I get a little backfire.
Sooo, I'm thinking it has something to do with Ignition. The fuel is still getting there, giving me the backfire.
What could cause all 6 coil packs to cut out simultaneously, though?
Please, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I've had this problem for a while, and it's better now that I rewired my whole engine harness. It's still there, though. Only thing I can think of is a ground problem, but I just don't know where to look.
Any ideas?
