What type of battery is safe to put behind passenger seat? Dry cell? Gel? I've been searching but can't figure it out browsing on my cellphone.

definitely need a battery box, and something that can be turned upside down, ie something designed for racing.

I already have a battery box in my trunk. Thanks, I'm just trying to figure out the type of battery that is "safe" behind my passenger seat.
So, I hear gel cell, I've been looking at Braille batteries & Odyssey..
Confused as to the difference between dry cell & gel cell.
Would this be fine?
But it has only 220CCA

Any sealed battery will be fine... Deka makes a pretty nice and cheap option as opposed to the Braille batteries...
Gel cell/AGM battery is fine without a battery box. Don't use a vented one inside the cabin.

So, are some Gel Cells/AGMs vented? I was looking at the Deka ETX14
NO! A liquid electrolyte battery is vented. Gel cell/AGM are not vented.

1. See if you can find a Deka ETX14 locally...it's cheaper, and the exact same thing
2. Listen to Def.
Edit: 3. If you do run the ETX14 ensure you have NO draw on the battery, and do not sit in the parking lot or wait long with the radio on.

I'm already used to not being able to put any draw on the battery, I've had a line of crap battery's lol.
Thanks Def @ CodyAce, I will be getting that Deka ETX14, found it online for $65 shipped, I'll see if I can't find it locally...
