i have a 1996 240 with the s13 sr swap with a gt2871r turbo and it recently burnt out on me and i am just wondering the easiest way to take off the turbo.? would it be easyer to take the manifold off with the turbo still on it or just to try and take the turbo off and drop it down from the bottom?? if anyone could just tell me how they have done it and the easiest way they thought that would be great

Take the manifold off with the turbo attached. While it's out, have the head flange checked to warping, as it's a common problem.

Question, the gt2871r is a thousand dollar turbo, what happened for it too just burn out on you?
The easiest way for me is leave it on the manifold and leave the turbo dump connected just unbolt from down pipe, remove the drain tube from the engine side
Braided lines add to that ease.
