Recently got into photography. Mostly automotive because cars and drifting have been a big hobby of mine for some time now. Im definitely still learning, but im getting all the practice i can when im not in school.
This is a friend of mine's 350Z. It was very overcast that day at our drift event. Thought it would be the perfect time for a dramatic shot. The car is stock but only because he just recently purchased it.
Like i said, Im just getting started. This is my second photo shoot so far, so let me know what you think. Thanks for looking.

That location is sick, need something more aggressive in the photo though, the 350z stock isn't doing it for me...

Nice pic, just some suggestions. Ease up a bit on the contrast of the car, it takes away details from the car which then forces attention to the details of the building. It causes the building to appear more focused. Crop out the building that's in the far left hand corner or blur it a bit. It's pulling away from the focal point which is the car.

Thanks for the replys everyone!
nice shot, what kind of camera and lens you using? Photography can be an expensive hobbie to pick up, especially if you wanna continue to do drift events...you'll have to choose between a new lens or some more tires haha

Disagree. The fact that the car is white makes it stand out. Contrast is perfect.

In this pic i was shooting with a Canon Rebel XSI with a 18-55mm kit lens. I have others for when im on the track. Yes, unfortunately, photography is a very expensive hobby but im enjoying it so far!

Yeah the lighter color car against the darker background created great contrast. Worked out really nice. Thanks for the compliments. I think he was saying that I over brightened the car and lost some detail in the car, like reflections for something.

I'm not talking about the contrast between the focal point and the background.
I'm talking about the contrast of the car itself, the upper half blinker of the headlight is almost completely white. The projector is somewhat washed out. The door seam near the handle is almost washed out as well.
A white car against dark background is great contrast but not when the car is overly saturated and looses details to the background, the car itself is over contrasted. There's not enough mid/gray tones on the car. Look at the building in the background you can literally see tiny details whereas the car has lost detail from too much dodging and appears out of focus.
