if your seats are sidemount, get some buddyclub superlow mounts. there is a little bit of work to do to fit them the lowest possible, it involves hammering transmission tunnel. You can find them on ebay, not worth that much.
I thought of making my own too. Ended up wasting my time and getting those.
If your seats are basemount, you are screwed. Sell them and buy sidemounts.

I used stock sliders and welded tabs going straight in from the lowest point I could. This is a Sparco Sprint Jr.

The seat doesn't fit down in between the sliders. The right side of the seat is touching the spring on the adjustment lock. I took that pic before I made the right rear tab.

On the left side, I was able to weld the tab on top of the rail for support. On the right side, I welded the tab at a 90* from the rail, so I added some diagonal supports, even though it's resting on that spring. I didn't take a pic of that.

I'm 6'5". Terrible pic, but my hand isn't touching the top. I remember I took this pic while sitting ridiculously straight up, and I usually slouch.

i too have a baby blue sprint jr. hahaha. but mine is mounted to a non slider that my friend Gabe at ASC made. it`s as low as i can get it without hammering the floor or tunnel. i also plan on swapping it with my evo, but the evo is side mount. i have a pair of sparco side mounts, but the holes on my seat mount does not line up with the sparco sidemounts. so i would have to make my own side mounts. (actually Gabe will). i bought a set of those ebay seat mounts and they don`t fit. you can buy seat mounts and sliders, but the seat ends up higher than the og seat. i wanted mine to be as low as possible.

Rad, I have a Momo T-Bucket in my other car, mounted to a non-adjustable rail I made. I think I spaced it up about 3/8" in the rear so i could see over the dash. I did some quick reference sitting and measuring one day. The blue seat seems to sit about an inch higher than the Momo.

hey! People say the buddy club rail dont go enought low versus nagisa and bride. What kind of bucket you have with your buddy rail? Your seat hit the floor? I need seat rail and the buddy club are cheap but if they dont go low...
Well, I've used a Recaro Pole Position + Buddy Club rails for a while. I bought a new FIA approved Recaro for a FD event and decided to splurge on new rails. I purchased Nagisa rails online. I really liked how low they sat in a friend's car.
However, sadly they did not fit with my particular seat. I sold them.
This winter, I will be cutting the factory catalytic converter hump in the floor out. I will then make side-mount tabs and mount the seat on the floor. I don't really care about the sliding function.
Oh, and I'm 6'6.
I'll post pictures when I get around the cutting out the floor and mounting the seat on the floor.

Not being fat has nothing to do with luck, more with being strong minded. Pizzas and beer are hard to resist, but hey ... yes, you can. I think your president said that.
anyway.
yes the buddyclub sucks if you are fat. Even then ... i am using sparco corsa bucket seats, S(small) sized. The thing is, even small sized they nearly touch each other on the center, and nearly touch the door too. Oh, and they touch the rails too.
I had to somehow redrill the holes allowing to bolt them to floor and tunnel, and hammered the tunnel so i could get it wide enough to fit the seats between the rails and not on top of them. Also, the bar allowing to lock/unlock had to be bent to clear the front of the seat. This way, the seat can nearly reach the bottom. I can barely put a finger under the seat, on the back (these have a higher front than back)
It is easy to do. I dont think you can get lower rails, but these definately need to be spaced from each other. It is their only weakness imho.
But TBH i cant see how any manufacturer could get them spaced a lot more. the S13 shell is not wide enough ... sorry fatties, now go lose some weight ( no offense, just a joke, i DO have more weight than i should too)

as long as they use oem bolt holes,i am afraid they cant go lower unless you hammer the transmission tunnel :/

i spent hours trying to get a side mount to sit really low and it still wasn't enough. i scrapped the rails and just went fixed. these are just mock up brackets ill be making refined one. but im extremely happy with it. i fit perfect, i'm 6'4 200 lbs. im not done with the left side but i just used a torch and a hammer and the tunnel went in nicely. upside super low, stable, light and doesn't cost $200+. downside you cant move forward or backwards. and this will be my daily driver. hope this helps.

Do you have any more pics or info? Im 6'2 had nagisas and had no where near that much head room, might try this with a side mount seat
