I may be gettin 8g's from my parents from some grandparents inheritance. I want a s13 with the SR swap. Im thinkin i can get a 89-94 for about 2g's. That gives me 6 grand for the swap and other stuff. I've heard that the swap is about $4100.....is this true?. Id probably wanna get some springs and shox to take care of main handeling problems at first, thats about $600, so if all my calculations are right that should be like a lil over 1g to get extra's. Gimmer ur opinions on what my best bang for my buck would be. I think right away i should get that HKS exhaust with a hi-flo cat and downpipe. Thats probably close to 1g right there. Maybe a blowoff valve to show off the turbo or something. I dunno, tell me what you think. And is $4100 about right....im in the Dallas TX area, any recomendations for places to go would be great.

you might be able to get an 89-90 for 2k...maybe
91-93 prolly more around 3-5k
94 is a convertible
sr swap depends on where you go and if you ended up with an 89 or 90 maybe even 91 with no problems you wanted to fix (dents and tires and stuff that wears out...brakes too) you could get an sr swap putting you at around 6-7 thousand depending on if you want an intercooler and/or boost controller and any other extras they don't include in the swap
I'd say get the car fix anything that's wrong with it or you don't like to begin with, then do suspension then do the sr swap if you still have enough money. I'm guessing you won't have much after that.

You should be able to get an '89-'90 for 2k...but if you are going for an SR swap you should spend a little more and get a nice looking one.
As far as the SR swap, be ready to spend $4500 for just the basic install. It will be more depending on IC, BOV, fuel pump, downpipe, ignitor. There are some things that may be missing on your engine that you may have to furnish the money for. If you go in with an estimate of 6K for a good redtop engine swap you will be satisfied. Just don't spend the extra money until it is running good.
