i'm 'bout 5'7"-5'8" and weigh in at a massive 120 I don't do anything but sit around and eat junk(hotpockets and other microwaveable goodies) and drink between 2-4 liters of soda a day sometimes have some alchy but not that often. I guess I'm a lucky one eh? From the little bit I've gone without eating (haveing nothing to do with weightlose) and actually doing something...exersice is the only way. Ride your bike to a gym, lift weights for 45min and ride your bike back home...a friend of mine does that...works great for him.

NotriousGQ...have you used that personally? It actually works?

My friend has the abtronic. It hurts, he said it works and felt soo good, but after he said your body (abs) get used to the massive workout and it dosent even work them out after a while even on the highest intensity level.

i don't think there's a shortcut to get muselc, however u spell that nonsense, since it's a car form the best way is to crawl around under yourcar, and try to get to know the car better, who knows you might discover that there are some bolts that are unessary and do some weight reduction... maybe...

you are not all the way out there, i'm 5-9 155lbs, so is coo

Well, I'm not a diet expert...but I might try this method whenever I feel like it. Cut down on trips to McDonald's or all those cheap fast-food joints. Pack your own lunch or cook your own food. Eat more sandwiches, salads, pasta, whatever that's not deep fried or cooked in a lot of oil. Instead of drinking sodas, drink water. Sodas only dry you up faster, thus making you drink more. Plus the sugars (glucose) in juice and soda gets turned into fat. At least your body absorbs most of the water you drink and well, water has no sugar or anything in it besides minerals and such. Milk is okay, but don't drink way too much of it. It's good to drink milk to build up your bones. Just eat enough to give you energy to go through your day. Even if it's tempting to eat until you're full, it's better this way. Just eat something small every now and then just to keep you going instead of eating huge meals 3 times a day.

Of course, just excercise. I know there's all these gadgets to make excercising easier, but nothing beats old fashioned methods. On TV, I never see Britney Spears, Michael Jordan, or Jackie Chan depending on various informercial gadgets. So that should tell you something right there. I'm a fatass, I'm 5'9" and I weigh 210lbs. I don't have much muscle, I only have this gut that I wanna get rid of. I was thinking about excercising just a bit each day. Like doing situps for one commercial break while I'm watching t.v., then gradually increase the workouts. Maybe I should take up jogging.

DSC is right...the only you can do to lose inches...(remember, inches off and weight loss are different) is cardio...that along with a metabolic enhancer (not a appetite curber like metabolife) should work...don't feel too bad...i'm 5'5 and weigh 135...but then again...i can also bench press 215...heh, wrestling...go figure...

the best way i have found to loose weight i s just to be careful what you eat (all the time, not a "diet") and get a job involving a little manual labor, not much but keep moving

last summer my boss said "build me a stone wall, he handed me the keys to the f350 and pointed to a pile of rubble, marked the 100 ft run and said 2 ft tall...

lost about 15 pounds all summer, but had better stamina, breathing, and could lift more

I just started going to a local gym that has indoor rock climbing and weights. I'm losing a bit of fat but gaining a bit of weight due to muscle. I think that instead of getting the exhaust/header I want, I might buy a bitchin mountain bike for this summer. Getting out there and riding like a mad man will drop some weight real fast.

For me it's hard because I'm not real fat, just a little pudgy and I'm big. I am 6'2 and weigh 220lbs. I think I'd look good at 205 - 210, or if I can get rid of my fat and build good muscle I can weigh 240 and just pick up and flip civics instead of racing them

Join a gym. Work out 2-3 times a week on weights, with 15 minutes cardio warmup, and 10 minutes cardio cool down. You will lose weight and look great!

well, i think what takumi said pretty much sums it up but you can also go to these websites:
http://www.askmen.com
http://www.mensfitness.com
http://www.menshealth.com
they have tons of shit on abs, diets and other exercises. since i am in the marines, we run 4 to 7 miles every m,w,f so it's easy for me to stay slim even tho i get the occasional small tire. i'm not quite as lucky as DSC but i do manage to keep from getting a gut. it's basically diet and exercise unless you are one of the real lucky ones like DSC!

beleive it or not a cheap and easy cardio program is tae-bo. If you actually try your hardest to keep up with the workouts on the tapes you will get a great cardio workout. Doesn't take much time and you can do it in your living room, only draw back is you have to have the discipline to make yourself do the workouts everyday and push yourself to really get some results.

i do rock climbing sometimes and its one of the best workouts you can get. after a while just start using your legs very little and more arms. its gonna hurt after but gets you some mad muscles on your arms.

I agree with Takumi, thats what I have been doing.. you just need to be careful with what you eat and when you work out, focus on the parts of your body you want to exercise. If you want to lose weight, you will have to do a lot of aerobics, jogging or biking etc..

If you want to build muscle, you will have to work out with weights.

I go jogging at the park and do all types of crazy workouts. I am 5'8" 150lbs, I have a mini-beer gut but the rest of my body is good. I am just trying to ditch the fucking gut.

Working our will help get rid of the extra fat.. Diet becomes much more important when you start getting closer to the wanting a 6 pack.. Key thing to remember is that you can not loose "Spot" weight. Or rather, doing sit-ups will not make you loose your gut. It will only make your abs stronger. If you wanna get rid of fat from the waist, you have to get rid of it everywhere. The body burns it equally from everywhere.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you too. I'm bout 5'6 and 'bout 165 lbs (Don't really look like it though). I gained 20 lbs. since getting with my girl. Find some type of physical activity you enjoy, besides f*ckin' (very nice exercise though). For me, it's playing bball. That way it won't seem like you have to work to lose weight.

I just came back from working out at L.A. fitness in Alhambra.

I start with some bball to warm up, then hit the weights, run, then stem room.... 2 hours later.... I go get some food.... a chicken Sandwich and Sobe drink !

What a day !

I work out at Variety Village in Scarborough (for you Ontario people). It has an awsome weight gym, indoor olympic size track, 3 indoor full court basketball courts, and an indoor pool for $450 Cdn 1st year, $350 after that. Can't ask for more. I work out 3 times a week and run 3 times a week.

It's just a matter of discipline and will, if you truly want to stay fit or lose weight you'll put in the work. It's the start that's hard, once you get into it you'll feel like shit if you stop and therefore you wont.
