** A Petition to Change Vehicle Import Laws **

Came across this article on MotoIQ about a current petition that is trying to see how many people support the idea of changing the current vehicle import laws. More specifically, the part of the law that states that only vehicles that are 25 years or older can be imported here from other countries. The petition wants to change that to 15 years instead. This would make it possible to import R32 and R33 Skylines as well as Silvia's and much more I'm sure you can think of.

The change in the law could also redirect government spending and focus on more important thing. Instead of the Homeland Security running around seizing illegal cars, they could be fighting terrorism or something. Just my thoughts.

Well the reason Canada has sylines is because their import law enables them to import foreign car that are 19 years old apparently.

The petition itself is on a US government website. I signed it already. There are already ~8500 people that have signed it. Petitions only work if people show support and interest. It's not that hard to sign a petition people. We're not trying to start a revolution here...

However it is a waste of resources to have a gov agency searching for illegal cars. Have them look for drug dealers, no canx that we want them to legalize drugs, no canx that and take $$$ from big corporations!
