S14 sr20det coolant temp gauge don't work.

I have an s14 sr20det and everything works on my instrument cluster except for my coolant temperature gauge. I just changed my coolant temp sensor and thermostat to a nismo one and it still doesn't work. Wiring was done by someone whose done multiple wiring harness with the coolant temp gauge working. What could be the reason why the coolant temperature gauge isnt working on my car?

try grounding the sensor wire. if the temp gauge shoots up to the top, the sensor is not working.

also is it in a s14 or a s13
if its s13 then u need s13 temp sensor
if its s14 try test in above post
or use a usdm s14 sensor

no you need a s13 ka temp sensor. so that you cluster works.

what cluster are you using?

my brothers has a s13 sr in his s14 he used a s14 ka temp sensor.
