Heavy D -- Dead at 44 | TMZ.com (http://www.tmz.com/2011/11/08/heavy-d-dead/)
Rap legend Heavy D -- one of the most influential rappers of the '90s -- died earlier today ... TMZ has learned.
Heavy D -- real name Dwight Arrington Myers -- was rushed to an L.A. hospital around noon today ... and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1 PM. He was 44 years old.
We've learned a 911 call was placed from Heavy's Beverly Hills home around 11:25 AM to report an unconscious male on the walkway .
When help arrived, we're told Heavy D was conscious and speaking -- and was transported to a nearby hospital.
He died a short time later.
Cops are investigating the death -- and so far, there are no obvious signs of foul play. Police are currently at the home.
dammm wasn't expecting him to pass, 44 is too young

Apparently, he was diabetic (which I just found out) and his weight had been up and down over the last couple of years.
Apparently, that is not good for your heart or kidneys. I hate that they jump RIGHT to foul play when discussing rappers.
I doubt the dude who made this would fall to foul play

I wasnt a big Heavy D fan, but looking back at his music and videos, he was all about just being yourself and just having fun in his videos.
I like his verses on this

Dude seriously he's like 3 years older than my older brother. That's frightening. My favorite CD ever was Blue Funk, Heavy D and the Boyz were my shit when I was a kid!

A doctor once told me. "Most people dig their graves with their teeth. That's why there's no fat people in nursing homes". Straight and to the point.
44 years is young. But it's middle of the road for an overweight diabetic with bad diet/sugar control.

I knew something was wrong when I hopped into the car this morning and they played like 6 Heavy D songs back to back. They only do that when you're dead...
He'll be missed. I remember putting the mack down on chicks to Heavy D music back in JR High. R.I.P. Waterbad Hev...:wtc:

Foul play huh? I took one look at his pics and guessed it had something to do with his weight.
