I just installed a S13 SR20 red top power FC into my S13.

All the sensors check out on the sensor check.
I turned the boost control feature off.
I put in a different base map with the controller from empathy.
Messed with the fuel, tried to lean it out or make it richer with no effect.
Z32 maf selected

Basically the car fires but immediately dies. I've messed with every setting except the injector lag setting which I will mess with tomorrow. Anyone know what could be causing it?

I took the car to my tuner which honestly wasn't ready to tune effectively with power FC, they didn't have datalogit. They said the base map is way off and needs to be reflashed. Can Datalogit reflash the base map? Am I correct in thinking that the adjustments I made to the maps that are loaded on the unit are just adjusting base map values?

Very lost, the car ran great with stock ECU and a SAFC tune for a long time. Put down 280 wheel.

My set up
600cc top feed injectors
greddy intake manifold
S15 turbo
aftermarket FPR and fuel system
FMIC
Z32 maf

What I would do...

- Initialize your PFC again (basically clear all the fiddling you did because you are obviously a little lost)
- When reset click power on but do not start the car
- Make your injector corrections for all 4 of your cylinders (62%) and add some small lag value. 10 perhaps
- fire the car.
- Follow the PFC idle learn procedure

- Lastly...go to tuner with Datalogit or buy one yourself. Anybody that seriously tries to tune on the commander is not very good.

what he said +1 and 28 on ms to start
do the math, select the maf ,turn off boost kit setting and the car should start right up
if the injectors r top feed lower lag time

Tried it. Didn't work. Same thing, just starts, sputters and dies instantly. Here's a screen shot of my sensor check. Look right?

Never heard of an "empathy" tune, but you should look into Enthalpy.

The starting and then dying immediately sounds like a MAF issue to me.

You might have the same issue I had when switching from SAFC to a Power FC. The MAF signal runs through the SAFC. When I unplugged the SAFC connector this created an open circuit in the MAF signal wire and the signal wasn't getting to the power FC.

I would check the signal wire from the MAF to the Power FC.
