So what's under the veil?

The one and only 1979 BMW M1 LeMans race car hand painted by Andy Warhol. Appraised at a cool 4 million dollars.

I like the idea behind it, but unless this is only part of the showroom or it isn't finished being set up, it sucks. I see virtually all of those vehicles and plenty more on a daily basis at my friends BMW shop. And imo BMW is losing their touch in styling...new 6 series suck, not sure how i feel about the f-chassis.

It was the grand opening so it wasn't full of cars, but what do you want to see? It's a car dealership, not a museum lol

the M1 is cool, love the paint.
I'm a bit a let down by the fact that there aren't more older M cars.
I'm lead to think this was more of a dealer effort, rather than something done by bmw.

not feeling the 6 either & frankly never have.
wonder how well that 1M (NOT M1) is selling?

Again, it's a showroom, not a museum. It was funded and planned exclusively by the dealer. It's not a display for classics, it's a showroom built to sell new cars.

In Canada, the 1M is sold out. They had something like 250 units and last week, the last one in Canada was sold and delivered. The orange one in the pictures belongs to the dealer's owner.

My friend has a couple M1's. So to see the Le Mans one is pretty awesome.

Bmw needs ///M cars to go against the AMG models mercedes is releases across it's various platforms.

The F10 M5 will have a choice of 6 speed manual and 7 speed DCT.

And the 1M is amazingly good and is probably the rawest car on sale today that's under 100k, no one's eating dicks.

I have 140k on my e46, and it is still showing me love.

My e28 has 170k, and it is still chugs like a tank; sucks the starter is so hard to get to.

My friend owns a bmw tuner shop and I borrowed an e46 325i I believe, 204k...drove like it probably did off the showroom floor. My other friend has an e36 m3 with 245k and counting. I guess it depends on which one you get, and who owned it before you. I do agree, it costs way too much to maintain certain models consider how much dumb electrical crap breaks on those cars

The 1M design is controversial utimately & not for everyone.
I like it a lot.
When I went car shopping the past few months it was prob second on my list, after the boss.
Having a bit of buyer's remorse right now.

here's a fun review & comparo( that TT is badass btw, performance wise it kills the m3, c63, caddy cts-v, & price is comparable )
