View Full Version : Bi-Weekly SUNDAY Honey-BBQMEAT-MEET-and wash.

So here is the deal. Twice in the last month, I have had a carwash/BBQ/meet and my brothers shop in Orange.

Was not the greatest fund raiser, but was a good time for the people that came, and I think it is a great place for a meet, and for people to have a great time.

Pros of the event are as follows...
-very wide variety of cars and people.
( last time there was a right hand drive widebody bug eye subaru, as well as bmw's and Nissan S chassis)

-Secluded location( not in some shopping center where you have to deal with security, and cops rollin up to see why there are cars parked in a parking lot. So no body will care how loud your car is, or any of that crap.

-If you want, I like washing cars. My car is still not fixed from my accident.

-We have a grill, and will be BBQing, and a fridge and ice chest, so you can bring your own MEAT, AND " DRINKS", plus if you need some work done you could have some work done.

-The location is pretty central. It is in Orange, so some S. La county guys can make it and so can the OC guys.

I had a good time, and hope we can make this a regular good time, for everyone else. This SUNDAY is going to be the first actual meet.

RULES-
Everyone is welcome, all cars, S CHASSIS, Z'S, CIVICS, EVOS, MIATAS. S2KS, any car, euro whatever, except for the neon srt 4s... jk, you can come to so long as your not an asshole.

If you want something special cooked, then bring it, feel free to bring anything to eat or drink.

I am working on have a Dj at some of the meets, other than that there will be a stereo.

Dogs are also welcome, so bring your gf's--JK, JK, just no DOG fights.

All jokes aside, this is going to be a regular thing and it will be fun, so I hope to see more and more people come, as well as more and more cars. See ya SUNDAY.

It is right up the street from Angel Stadium, and up the street from restaurants and stuff like that.

So it is not in the middle of no where, but it is kinda in an industrial area.

sweet, i can go mountain biking on sundays in fullerton then head over to this meet. if i remember which days are the meets. i will put them in my calender. i want to ride this sunday anyway

So the official time of the meet is 11a-4p.

Yes, I work hard, but this meet is just to get a change of scenery and to see some of the normal people from meets( who we always see at night) in the day, and to have a bbq.

It is southern California, compared to the rest of the world we can bbq year round.

And Tyler, that is EXACTLY what I wanted to talk to you about last night, but forgot.

I believe this is the same shop I visited awhile back when Colin was still doin shift-lock.net and such (3-4 years ago?) I don't know if any of you who work/hang there recognize:

I had a white S13, pretty stock looking, had an SR in it. My battery kept dieing, I had a couple of you fabulous peeps help my sex drive push to start, then your all like "k cya later!" and it died again going down the driveway, gave me one final pushoroo and I was off. Apparently everyone else was waiting for me to pull around because they had a battery charger ready for me (but I was on a time schedule)

Nonetheless, same shop? Lol, if so, everyone is way cool there

Yeah this isnt just a carwash event it is a meet, just a place to kick it have bbq, and some drinks and chill, if you want your car detailed, no problem, glad to see people show up.

yes that is correct.

Im still waiting on the pics, from this weekend. Some guy showed up with his timing set to like advanced to 30 and powersteering fluid in his power steering pump instead of atf. and got that fixed.

Also Jeff, went to hobby town.

I am thinnking about bbqing somethign other than dogs next time.

So the weather looks legit, here is a link, so it is going on tomorrow. All this rain will mean cars needs cleaned, and the meet will be good, so will the meat.

I am not sure what is going on with everyone this week, because of the holiday, I am not sure if it will be a good Idea to have thie sunday meet this sunday because of all the other things going on and the amount of people that wil be out of town.

Decided to not break the cycle, and we ARE going to have the meet this sunday. Otherwise it really wouldnt be a bi weekly meet.

Anyway, people will be around. Dont know what we are going ot bbq, might have to get some carne asada, or just make it a potluck or something. Anyway, GAME ON.

Also, I have been posting things for sale, like a new act hdss cluth, s13 dash, lightweight flywheel, some enkei wheels and other stuff, that will be there too.

Anyway, I wil; see you guys there this Sunday, bring whoever. Only rule is you gotta be down for good times.
