Another San Jose Grant Ranch Meet

:boink: Here we go guys, I'm gonna be setting up another San Jose Grant Ranch meet. The first one didn't have a huge turn out but I think it went well and I think we can make another one go a lot better.

Sunday, February 15, 2004, at 12:00 p.m. (noon).

I know this is over 2 months in Advance, but I want to make it so everyone has enough time to get time off work, and to be able to schedule it in and be able to attend.

It will follow the same set up as last time, and there will be free food.

Everyone who was there last time, lets see if you guys can show up and see if we can get other peopel to show up as well.

WITH THIS MUCH NOTICE I DON'T THINK ANYBODY CAN USE WORK AS AN EXCUSE!!!!!!

This is my second time doing one in San Jose man. The first one went okay, I was expecting more people though. It was kewl though, there was a decent turn out and the entire parking lot at Grant Ranch was ours. There was nobody up there.

The Rangers didn't give us any kinda crap, the didn't even tell us to leave till it was almost pitch black out.

Afterwards I know some people kept driveing. So lets try to make this one better than the last one we did at Grant Ranch. Come on people. There has to be plenty of people willing to do this.

Art. I'll help you out with a 5spd conversion. Hopefully you have all the right parts. I heard David's Tranny is slipping now. That tranny wasn't good I'm gonna try to get him another one.

Art. See if you can get me the intake box and piping. The intake for the Turbo. I Think I"m getting the intercooler and all the piping this weekend.

Naw that's just the Area where we all packed in cause there wasn't that many people. There is alot more parking out there. We can house alot more cars than that. The parking lot curves around and kinda moves in a Circle.

Just bring what ever you want. I don't care what you guys wanna bring just something to help me out a bit.

About 1 week before the meet I'll make another thread with Directions and instructions on where to meet up so we can drive to Grant Ranch together. That way I can also get a better number of how many people will be showing up.

The meet will start off at the SaveMart Parking Lot on the Corner of McKee and Toyon in San Jose, California 95127. Comeing from either freeway 101 or 680 you will get off on McKee head East towards the East Hills and not towards downtown. Just keep driving all the way up till you see a shopping center with a Savemart, Longs, and Jack in the Box. That's the shopping center we will be at.

There are alot of Details in the Initial Post to this Thread, but I will repost everything including address and directions on the Monday before.

knghtryde... are you sure it's a good idea to have touge? i mean, there's going to be A LOT of people, that's massive chaos. and hopefully when everyone goes up there it doesn't attract attention to the authorities, the last thing i would want is a big bust on this and some people getting tickets cause that would be booty... but that's to replying back i'm a for sure, a couple of my friends should be there too... i have no idea where the rose garden picnic area is... but i'm pretty sure you guys won't be too hard to spot! see you guys then...

There will not be a touge before the meet. The drive up there will be calm and collective. We are going to keep it calm, and we won't bring any attention to ourselves.

I spoke to one of the Rangers. Because of it's location they do not get alot of people up there over the winter, and they welcome the guests.

As long as nobody does anything stupid, we'll be kewl. And usually by the time the meet is over there won't be many people left so the touge should be safe. If there is alot of people left at Sun Down then I don't know how much I'd recommend a Touge, BUT you still have to get to the bottom of the hill which is an 8 mile drive. So you can have your fun there.
